Always brown. If it were changed as part of the grimdark treatment I think that blue or green would work better in the context of giving her the lost and broken puppy treatment... I don't know why.

Also what's wrong with grimdark Tomb Raider aside from the obvious franchise milking? It's one of the few videogame franchises that could benefit from grimdarkification

And besides, the 90's did have good consequences like an entire new universe based on runs by Alan Moore and Warren Ellis, and the New Shit imploding on itself and leaving nothing of themselves behind (ie, MacFarlane and Liefeld have pretty much zero influence on comics these days) and the whole era pretty much caused the kind of backlash return to a revisioned old school Moore always wanted.
