Huh, apparently they were contracted to modify ToEE into a training ground for military AI. Now there's an LP I'd like to see.

Black Isle was in the black as well (was dragged down by the rest of Interplay/Herve). It's a major problem with gaming, though slowly being somewhat alleviated by digital distribution - you can have a game that sells well and makes a profit, and yet still get shut down because you can't find a publisher for your next project.
