This might be a Thief 4 trailer...

Looks somewhat promising but I am not sure if it's real. I'll let you guys decide for yourselves about this one.

At least there aren't any nuns in this one :D

Bow sucks, but... the trailer is made very Thief-like. I loved the Thief 1 and 2 intros. They had atmosphere. This one kinda has it, but when they show the bow :retarded:. Why? WHY?

Looks like he's got a corrective eye surgery as well then. Somehow I don't think this is Garrett, bros.

Maybe he got an eyejob and a bowjob? Hyuk hyuk.

Since you won't ever see Garret during gameplay, I don't care about his Ninja outfit. If we do (aka 3rd person view), game will be instant shit.

They better reverted back to a longcurve bow, 'cause that composite shit is a bit out of place, but ultimately not a gamebreaker.

Bow sucks, but not nearly as much as the retarded flintlock-slash-hand-crossbow on the last concept art.

Knowing Square Enix treatment of old Eidos franchises it will either be a prequel or a complete reboot.

The new thief looks kinda more Geralt than Garrett.

When shooting your way through guards you gotta enjoy the cool weapon in your hands.

Just imagine how awesome it will be blindfiring with that bow from behind cover after you threw a grenade at enemies.

Of course they may hit back but then health regen will come to help. Surviving 1000s of shots no matter the difficulty just like DXHR - what more can a modern gamer possibly want?

    A quest compass.

I kinda liked everything but the bow, should have been more traditional. I didn't even realize it was a grenade in the beginning there, until it was said here. Remember Garrett had those flash bombs and we don't know what kind of "grenade" that thing is. At least he ran away from that dude instead of fighting him in the end.

But, I'll reserve judgement till we see some more.

You'll be a descendant of Garrett, hooked up to a memory reading machine that zaps into your DNA to let you relive the life and times of Garrett Thiefington, trying to figure out what Garrett did with a magical artifact. Then it's revealed you're the prisoner of the hag and the Trickster who teamed up to steal the precious artifact... which turns out to be you!!!! IMMORTAL VAMPIRE CYBORG GARRETT APPEARS AND SAYS "YOU ARE THE SACRED TREASURE GARRETT, WHO IS ME, HAS KEPT SAFE ALL DEEZ YEARS" and he helps you unleash your true powers and defeat Darth Vader the Trickster and the Hag and save the world from having all their things thiafed.

The 30-second leaked trailed was actually better than I anticipated. Sure, the bow was kinda stupid, but other than that it was reminiscent of Thief I/II. Besides, this is too little to go on - Thief was all about the gameplay, the setting, the brilliant level design, the mystery of the world, and the atmosphere coming together in a beautiful way. Fuck... the atmosphere. I could go on forever about this - the ambient music, the shadowy halls and alleys full of danger and secrets, the corruption and the sickness of The City, the pious self-righteousness of The Hammers or the even worse Mechanists, the juxtaposition of gritty urban streets with bizarre and other-worldly dimensions and long-forgotten tombs, the opulence of the nobility barely concealing their callousness and greed... it's all fucking perfect.

This game's filled me with a sense of wonder, mystery, fear and awe that I haven't felt from a game before or since. I must have been 8 or 9 years old when I played Thief: The Dark Project and then later on Thief II. All that time I've still been looking for a game that's better than Thief. I still haven't found it.

I'm not too interested in Thief 4. If by some miracle it turns out to be a worthy addition to what's in my mind the greatest game series ever made, then great. If it doesn't, well I still have the original games, a few dozen brilliant FM's that understand the spirit of what made Thief great (many of which I still haven't played), and hopefully the efforts of the DarkModders to create another awesome experience with their total conversion.

As far as I'm concerned, if Thief 4 turns out to be a bastardized mockery of Thief and an insult to its fans, then I don't really give a fuck anyways. The true fans still keep the faith
