I've never played the game, or anything from Turbografx for that matter, but damn this sounds awesome.

So today I learned something rather awkward....

On of the most influential video game soundtracks of all time (for me personally as a musician) was Ultima VIII Pagan's soundtrack. Of note, the Docks theme specifically (it's basically the first "theme" song you hear when playing the game):


(This is as played in game with my Roland JV1080)

What I never knew was, it was um GREATLY inspired by a movie a few years befor Pagans release....

Still the Docks theme IS a nice track, even if heavily inspired by this (and with the limitations of MIDI at the time, 8 instruments).

Sceptic you might find this vastly amusing as I did.
