It's not bimdog's fault that baldur's gate art asset looks like a blurry vomit if you look too close at it!

At least in EE you can actually ZOOM OUT and it won't be as noticeable as in the original game.
Remember, under no circumstances should you ZOOM IN onto Baldur's Gates art assets, ALWAYS zoom out when you have the opportunity!

That's the problem with Beamdog's "enhancements": They aren't enhancements. They end up making things shittier rather than better. Being able to zoom isn't an enhancement if it makes the viewscreen look like a bleary fucking mess.
They even managed to fuck up the Planescape: Torment menu, and it's one of the only things they actually worked on, it would be amazing if it wasn't so sad:
Just even looking at the main menu work they presumably did tells you what kind of skill level these dumbfucks have, with the original one having a "rugged/dirty" and "Inka relic"-like look while they added sharpening, highlights and drop shadows all over theirs (while removing the drop shadows where they were needed) making it look amateurish and highlighting every bit of the menu making it look like a separate object instead of giving it a cohesive "stone plate" look as a whole, they also removed some of the empty spaces and "overcrowded" it with stuff making the upper and lower part asymmetric, they rounded off elements that were supposed to look like nuts and even made the text coloring look fucking worse, all of this makes it look a lot more artificial/plastic, tidy and kitschy:

I'd rather literally flush the amount of money down a fucking toilet than give any of it to these disgusting hacks.

Codex 2014
Blood will be Spilled, western-themed 2D platformer with turn-based combat, featuring Adam Jensen:

  • Classic side-scrolling action in traditionaly handcrafted 2D world of The Wild West with insect twist
  • Tactical turn-based shoot-outs - always outgunned, use every advantage and dirty trick to get an edge over your enemies: Hide behind covers, use your environments, suck the blood of your enemies and make sure that you're the last insect standing
  • Use 12 active and 3 passive abilities in 3 different paths - The Good, The Bad or The Ugly, and dispose of your enemies with a ricochet, a shotgun or a shovel
  • 7 magnificent revolvers, inspired by western classics, that'll fill your enemies with enough lead they would probably die of poisoning if only the shots didn't kill them first
  • 9 types of enemies - from ferocious mites, nasty fly-banditos, aggressive wasp-sharpshooters to crooked cockroach brawlers and explosive bugs
  • 4 sinister gang leaders with a price on their head - wanted dead or alive
  • Secrets and hidden collectibles for searchers and treasure hunters to find
  • Epic soundtrack that pays tribute to the old classics of the genre

The Pirates of Sector 7, another one of those top-down space exploration/trader/shooter thing:

God’s Trigger, bloodbath co-op top-down shooter published by Techland:

Don't you agree that no loading screens and smoother alt-tabbing are objective improvements? Even the auto area loot is cool, especially in Bg1, since you don't have to walk to each gnoll corpse, but can easily pick out the good random drops.

Whether you want to support them in light of their politics, business practices and questionable new content is another issue altogether.

I guess your quotes got messed up. I didn't say any of that.

First thought that came to mind when I saw this:

"Let's make a game that takes place in the West... with ROBOTS!"

"... what do you mean, it's been done?"

"Steamworld Dig? Never heard of it."

*Well, how can we salvage what we've got and make this game then?!?"
