So I missed this outage, but how is it even possible that you cant access the offline client? I've done it before when my internet connection has been cut.
That's because it's some kinda bullshit they wrote. Offline client worked fine just like any other day.

These pair are also on sale for cheap. Very fun in co-op:

YOU GET IT???

You make a compelling case. I checked out that game and have to say I like a developer that puts chainmail bikini armor right in the game without having to mod it in.

It will probably require some effort to make it playable in coop, since it used GameSpy, which is not available anymore.
The game was bashed hard on release, but I personally think it's just an average popamole 3rd person action game, not better or worse than any other. At least something to fill the gap that was left after Severance (although later we got Dark Souls).

I miss the holiday achievements that would be added to games. It gave me a reason to actually try all cheap bundle games that pollute my account.

The season sales are completely worthless now, since the discounts you get are lower than what you get in normal, everyday dailies. Distant Worlds and War for the Overworld are two examples that are currently discounted less than during dailies they had recently.

So, when all is said and done...
Anything obvious that some of us might have missed?

Satellite reign is pretty good and deserves your support. I PERSONALLY did not enjoy it a heap but the fundamentals are pretty good overall.

Satellite Reign is made with unity and so I had some problems with it, like lots of crashing. But apparently it was even worse before I got it, but it did get fixed. It may be even more stable now. It wasn't unplayable, but it was kinda annoying. With that said, I thought it was decently fun. It's like Syndicate but in a semi-open sandboxy world where you are free to approach missions in almost whatever order you want to. Sometimes doing optional stuff will make the main targets easier in various ways, like increase the time it takes whoever you're up against to call for reinforcements. It's a fun game to goof around with, like just robbing banks and raiding corporations for new gadgets and toys for your cyberdoods. My only issues was with the performance and the RT combat which I suck at because it's too chaotic for me (which is why I never liked Commandos), but if you like that stuff then you should probably be good to go.

What's the word on the street for Halcyon 6: Starbase Commander?

Got myself Rimworld, despite not being on sale and Adventures of Nep Nep 2.
If you enjoy nepnep, there's also hyperdevotion noire which is a different take on the same universe.
And there's also Fairy Fencer which is basically nepnep but without any nepnep.

I'll leave another recommendation here: Outland is extremely cheap at $1.99 and it's a great (albeit a little short, took me 7h to finish) Metroidvania with Ikaruga-like color mechanics.

Amazing atmospheric soundtrack too:

Edit: and this one is even better: Insanely twisted shadow planet http://store.steampowered.com/app/205730/

There's so many B+ Metroidvania games that you're literally spoilt for choice. Steam literally vomits quality genre games it's actually pretty ridiculous, everyone with a freshly minted degree in game design makes one for their portfolio

Precisely this and it's because pubs/devs don't want to put their games at massively discounted prices for over a week. When they had daily and flash sales they would do it. Now if you want good discount just wait for the game to be a midweek/weekend/daily deal off-season.

Every couple of hours I'm getting spammed with Steam email telling me another 2~3 games from my wishlist are on sale. Might as well just send one email saying "every fucking thing on your wishlist is on sale".
