Pretty standard practice. Lots of censored porn games on Steam with 1st party patches offsite.
Yeah but is it common to need to purchase the patches? Hey you bought our game, want to buy it twice lah?
Ew, no. That's some shady shit.

You can get the patch for free on the games Steam community board http://steamcommunity.com/app/665180/discussions/0/1471967615843591758/

''{Since writing this review I have discovered that this game may be a copy of Hang Glider Demo - Unreal 4 engine - by Epic...so maybe this author is making money unfairly? See if you can pick the demo up for free perhaps - the youtube video of Epic's demo appears similar to this - but with trees!}''

''too bad this game is a rip of a FREE item from Epic. Just a compile and sold to people. Nothing was changed. Just compiled free item and sold haha ... sad''

''This is indeed a totally free example ('Landscape Mountains') for Unreal Engine 4 developers.''

STEAM gon' STEAM...

Is Shadowrun Chronicles - Boston Lockdown worth 2.5 bucks? I found it boxed in some shop, with steam activation. I also bought Spellforce Universe for the same price.

Combat mechanics are sort of fun but everything is half-baked/shallow... to a laughable degree.

Game world, character systems and dialogue are also superb. The only thing which is pretty bad in UI.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought I was posting in Grimoire thread,

It's literally a single player MMO akin to DA:I, because the game was conceived as an MMO and only later turned into a regular RPG.

Curt Schilling loved WoW so he wanted to make a WoW clone. The game plays like an extremely low budget version of WoW but on a private server with only you on-line. A bunch of the 'zones' feel like they were ripped out of WoW aesthetics-wise. The main story line is incomprehensible. Side quests are pointless filler. The UI looks like it was done in MS paint. The world is YUUUUUUUUGE but empty and dull.

It's worse than Fable. I'll let that sink in.

Wrong. The developers of Amalur were acquired by Curt Schilling's 38 Studios, who were making their own MMO called Project Copernicus, but it itself was never supposed to be an MMO. It was originally called "Ascendant": https://www.unseen64.net/2009/04/20/ascendant-x360ps3pc-beta/

I've only once tried Amalur, and it seemed very WoW-ish. But it was for 10 minutes or so.
That game any good?
It's a good way to get a repetitive strain injury that shit had way too many mash a single key as fast as possible events, like combat finishers that gave bonus rewards for killing an enemy. Game world was empty and bland not enough content outside of just moving forward and depopulating somewhat linear areas until you reach the next checkpoint. I would say it's basically a prettier Dungeon Siege 1.

It's really not worth your time or money, that said I think all sales go directly to state funds for maine or wherever the developers was located kek.

I was reading the Fires of Heaven forums at the time Amalur was released and my abiding memory of it was everyone saying how piss easy it was and after about an hour playing it you were so OP that you could just button mash everything with no thought to combo's or defense. This in turn made loot and levelling inconsequential as if you could kill everything so easily, why be excited about upgrading? Schilling was active on there and his response was basically "yes but when we asked people didn't really want a challenge so we made it piss easy on purpose."

Way to totally undermine your own game.

I knew that. Schilling still took what Big Huge Games (who started Amalur) made and tinkered it into the abortion of Amalur. I also didn't say Amalur itself was meant to be an MMO just that it plays like a shitty MMO.

The original developers actually posted about the game on Codex and I'm pretty sure I commented in the thread.

That's another problem. The game is absurdly easy even on the highest difficulty settings.

ss_319c2f84c6f6acb4ada86cd5ed8e1173e96d4f9b.600x338.jpg

ABOUT THIS GAME
Tale of Wuxia: The Pre-Sequel, the authentic sequel of Tale of Wuxia which surpasses the latter in every way, is a CRPG developed by Fenghuang Game and Heluo Studio. This U3D-based game includes better story, funnier events and enhanced gameplay. Tale of Wuxia: The Pre-Sequel enriched the character development in Martial Arts and skill variance. Your character can not only learn Arts itself, but also invite multiple members into the squad and select their skills. The brand-new Squad-combat Mode and Jianghu Tales Mode randomize the gameplay, different squad-members and talents grant you various tactics.

1.The brand-new Tales Mode in Free-roaming makes the main-map richer than ever. Free-roaming is no longer a means of travelling, but more as the background of real Jianghu stories.
2.Invite different characters to the squad. Every member has unique personality and tactic.
3.Multiple endings.
4.Abundent side-quests make Jianghu truly dangerous.
5.Added new stories.

Choose your gender and select one of three appearances per gender. As an RPG Management game, you'll be forced to make heavy hitting decisions as you form your personality and management style. Many of these choices may change the relationship you have with your Gladiator and other characters of the game.
The right choices may even lead to a deeper connection between you and your Gladiator.

  • Choose your gladiator!

Geyna, the lost warrior, Elona the adventurous doctor, or Armida the fighter who never gives up. Each Gladiator with a completely unique look and personality.
Each gladiator also comes into battle with a unique fighting style, including distinctive combat animations.

  • Manage your business!

Your choices define how your Gladiator improves in Arenus. Each day you will chose between various options that offer different rewards.
Will you have them train for agility? Or have them work at the local bar to earn more credits for new weapons?

Balancing such choices with your winnings from fights is crucial to your playthrough. But credits aren’t everything. Stress is a daily part of any Gladiator’s life.
It’s important to learn when to press your fighter, and when to use a lighter touch.
