    I wouldn't know about that - I did a review on that decision -
    - If you Execute him, he'll kill some guards during the execution. Not as bad as the prison break.
    - If you Pardon him, .... There's no immediate negative penalty (???) I play for 2 weeks on, nothing bad happened. :eek:

    You will kill him... if your rolls are successful. Else, it's not going to end well.

    Some sideplots go seemingly nowhere in one playthrough and only become resolved in another if you had done something earlier. For example (minor spoilers)


    Sentencing that guy was the example of one such sideplot.
