I think those plans are useful, though. Nobody will read advice written on that fast-scrolling chat unless it's spammed, and nice pictures are more likely to be passed on by those who already read them than plain text.

"guys we need to go north" - meh

vs

"GUYS HERE'S A MAP, A PLAN AND SOME DRAWINGS, CLEARLY NORTH IS THE WAY TO GO" - this guy knows what to do, everyone must see this. CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+C, CTRL+V, CTRL+C, CTRL+V...

The visual plans are nice, but since this is reddit, horribly formulaic.

I still like reading them

They got Jasmine's badge on the second try. But before that:

3d15h12m For anyone that's looking for a detailed battle report, there isn't one. We just got completely REKT by a single level 30 Magnemite. Our whole party. We white out back to the Poke center

3d 15h 1m Democracy mode kicks in. But for how long? And is it too late?

3d14h59m: Things were looking bleak as Gator got stunned for two turns and Magnemite got him down to yellow health with Thunderbolt, but we luckily switched out to HootHoot. Who fainted... followed quickly by Shuckle. Now it's Zubat's turn.

3d14h55m: Battling Jasmine! For all Smoochum's swag, it couldn't quite out-swag Magnemite and has fainted. Major Gator is in and, despite paralysis, is doing pretty well.

RIP Prince Omelette... your unpredictable Metronome was one of the most exciting things to ever hit TPP. You will be missed

3d15h25m Smoochum was deposited right before Togepi was released

[Snark] TOGEPI used METRONOME! TOGEPI used SELFDESTRUCT!

3d17h45m: WOOPER DOWN! I repeat, Wooper was just released into the wild.

3d17h40m: Now begins the arduous process of trying to get one of our pokemon into the PC without releasing anything. This'll be fun.

and 40 minutes ago:

[Meta] We were in Democracy mode for an astonishing 23 minutes. I'm not sure, but that might be a record.

This looked like a fun plan. Shame Togepi is now on the wilds trying to avoid becoming a Fearow's lunch.

It has to be a game with turn based action so it can wait for input, and grid based movement so you can actually get places.

So... might and magic :obviously:

That'd be great until you discard some key item required for finishing the game. Or get to a password required location. Or got your entire party killed except for 1 guy and then saved the game.

No, it'd have to be something even a retard could get through by sheer brute force. Lots of old jrpgs would apply. Anything that lets you respawn after death while retaining xp really. Shining in the Darkness might actually work in theory. Though in practice we'd all die of old age before finishing the trials, let alone the labyrinth proper. Shining Force 2 might be doable, I forget how early you can start grinding. Then again the difficulty is such that you'd die at the end unless you had truly overpowered shit, which would require controlling promotions and party members.

I can't actually recall specific games that just respawn you the way pokemon does, but I know there were a lot of them.

Watched off and on for an hour, they just walked around Violet City with the major accomplishment being visiting the Pokemon Center and healing the party.

Now, finally, there is a change in music as they moved into the wilderness.

Why is the Feraligatr called Lazor Gator?

Because he spent most of the game doing nothing but leer at his enemies intensely.

It would be beautiful.
Like reliving Dengue fever all over again.
The most terrifying thing is, unlike many games, it probably wouldn't be hard to set up Twitch controls for it. Just set it to autoprogress during dialogue/event parts, and have the Twitchchat playerinput enabled when it goes back to the menu portion, to let the 50,000 monkeys decide what to do. The structure of the game, sending people to the start of the timeloop automatically upon failure or completion of a route, makes it almost perfectly suited.

The only 'problem' is that the 'game' is so incredibly awful and inane that it probably wouldn't have thousands of people at a time online. I could be wrong though, 4chan is full of weeaboos, and weeaboos never fail to surprise me with the depths they happily sink to.

The fact the Crystal ROM was hacked so Red's team at the ending will be the one the players used to complete the Red playthrough (instead of the three starters, psychic form of eevee, overleveled pikachu and, uh, snorlax) creates an interesting situation.

Every time I see a watermark on one of those pictures I roll my eyes at how people are unable to add impact text themselves.
