With the talk about another beta and conference appearances "in the coming months", it sounds like Expeditions Viking isn't coming out in February.

Why no Caves of Qud? Not popular enough? From a dev on the steam forum: "We're probably 12-13 months out from a full release, we're planning on publishing a roadmap-to-release early next year." (posted dec 15, 2016) Game is very playable in current early access state.

I'm copying a list I made over at NeoGAF (Permabanned now). It includes incline, decfline, desudesucline and any other cline you can think of. I didn't want it to go to waste. The plan was to cover as many rpgs as possible. Are people interested in seeing this updated every now and then?

A kickstarter RPG that's looking to bring back the old Gold Box style RPG (or Northlands Trilogy or Betrayal at Krondor if you prefer). Graphically it's not much to look at but the gameplay and systems are shaping up nicely.

Tactical/Strategy RPGs with turn based combat and a dash of resource management. I played Expeditions: Conquistador with low expectations having been disappointed by another SRPG I had played (Blackguard) but it turned out to be a far more engaging experience and I had a great time. The combat in Conquistador fell into the tough start but easy late game trap but the game was enjoyable and pretty short so this was not an issue for me. The writing and setting in Conquistador both surprised me pleasantly so I have been looking forward to more from the developers. I find SRPGs to be less common subgenre so it gets a bonus on hype points from me 8.5/10 Mephala hype points.
