Taking a chance on D:OS since I know enough about it to feel like I can make an informed decision regarding the enjoyability of its content.

After all I voted for Shadowrun in the last one and it looks like it'll be better than that content-wise, and comparable systems-wise.

I don't care so much for predicting metacritic scores but it's clear the only potential for New Codex Classics is from Obsidian and inXile. They're the only ones making Black Isle-style games.

I don't know if it'll be a "New Codex Classic," which is separate from "something I might like." Larian does have a fanbase here, but look at their poor showing in the top RPGs list. The Ultimas aren't exactly huge winners either.

None of them, frankly. While good on paper, I have very low expectations of just about all the titles on that particular list: some I don't know about, some do not interest me personally and some just do not look promising to me.

Woulda voted Wasteland 2, but based on everybody saying what's out there so far blows, I'm more sceptical now than before.

Divinity:OS is on the top of incline list for me.
As for the others:
Grimoire because FUCK YEAH VAPOURWARE!
Legend of Grimcock 2 because fuck the haters.
Legends of Eisenwald because of potentialy great setting
Pillars of Eternity because I loved IE games and like RTwP combat (again fuck the haters)
Underrail because we can't have enough Fallout clones

Are Xenonauts and JA: Flashback considered more strategy games than RPGs or is there another reason they aren't on the list?

Vault Dweller kicking Fargo's ass and fighting head to head with Feargus. :salute:

The Codex knew you'll make something of yourself when they threw you out in the wastes.

The Codex has internalized. The game's, uh, mixed reception from back in 2012 has been forgotten and people have come to accept and appreciate AoD for what it is. Although I don't know how many of them have actually recently played it.

What about KOTC 2 ? Any particular reason it isn't included on the list ?

Probably has something to do with the fact that we know next to nothing about it, to the point where most people probably don't even know it's in development
