It looks like this is shaping up to be a true sequel to BioWare's cult classic Dragon Age 2: Carry On Up The NPC. Finally, the game they always wanted to make:

I dont give a shit about DA2 (much less the Friendship/Rivalry system). I'm more insulted by the principle that you try to be friendly and get to know your party member ...next thing you know, they're trying to fuck you and you're treated like a cold hearted asshole for turning them down. Like there cant be any sort of middle ground or shades of gray.

Bioware romances have 49 shades less gray than your average book of mommy-porn.

There can be 50.

Fuck, beat me to it. I wasn't expecting anyone else to have my predilection for terrible puns.

If you won't have sex with another man, you are a bigot. This is what SJWs actually believe.

The armor designs for this game practically scream 'I want to be a Dark Soul'.

I guess this game won't just be about getting waifu :smug:...

EDIT: Oh yeah and some interview with Laidlaw with more detail about the game: http://www.rpgsite.net/interview/37...nd-beyond-with-dragon-age-s-creative-director

Of course, beyond that, that meant a commitment to characters. We wanted to enrich interaction with characters, we wanted to make them come... all of those kind of discussions really drove it all in, in a way only David could.

First they wanted it to be easily accessible dumbed down, then they wanted it to be like Skyrim and WoW, now they want it to be like Dark Souls.

Perhaps they shouldn't look for influences from other games.

I've seen people look at things like the rolling - the dodge, where the rogue rolls to the side. People would say, "That'll never work in tactical." Sure it can! You draw a line AOE to the right and press A to confirm... and when you unpause, he rolls that way! But you have to think it all through. You have to hold yourself to that
Wow, much tactics
so clever
very Bioware.

The idea of 'I've done some stuff - I've killed a lot of dudes, and now I'm more efficient at killing dudes' or what have you is the kind of thing that I think speaks to us. It helps take our leisure time and turns it into something else. In the same way that dreams sort of help us to get our brain in order, they keep people productive and focused, they set goals and allow you to achieve them; life skills are there to be learned in RPGs. So seeing it bleed into every game - racing games, shooting games - that's cool.

Reading disability?

Come on, some things he said (if it's true) = :incline:
Like this:
"My goal with Inquisition is to have stuff that people don't find. I actually sent out a little demand: every single level must have at least one cave no one ever tells me to go in. No quests, no pointers, nothing. I don't care where you put it: I don't want to know where it is! Obviously, the team took that to heart and went even further."

"I don't want to, like, put a bullet point on it, but over all we want to make sure we have significant choices, and that they would branch out. We didn't want to just do it in the last ten minutes of the game, either - we wanted to do it mid game, even early game, so that there's plenty of time for echoes of your decision to keep coming back."

The big question is: Can we have sex with trees? And i mean not only heterosexual but also homosexual, bisexual, transexual, necrosexual, etc ...xual trees. We want to be able to spread our lust on every bush, tree and plant in the realm. In all other intolerance and racist crpgs that aspect was forgotten. Can we at least hug the tree? Anybody knows?

That's because the writers at BioWare are

1) Men and women who apparently don't understand how adults behave
2) Interested in producing fanservice.

So that's why they call you Pinewood.

Combat video.
They even show more than 5 seconds of that "tactical mode".

They put way more emphases on tactical combat in DA2 promotional videos and we all know how that ended.

Btw am I mistaken or does it seem like you will only be able to zoom out during pause?

Still no ui for keyboard and mouse combo. I guess we wont see it before release since most reviews will be probably based on ps4/xone version.

Lookin good. So Pillars of Eternity and Inquisition are competitors when it comes to combat. Both RTwP, both party based. I'm interested in finding out which has better/deeper mechanics and better gameplay.:smug:
