If whatever kind of sex is necessary to establish the setting, characters or story, it's ok to add (providing that any of those is well crafted and the depiction is realized in a skillful and manner).

If whatever kind of sex is there because you really like to masturbate to it/your landwhale fans desperately need something to fap to, then GTFO.

For example there was nothing wrong with Geralt bonking Triss, and it wouldn't be anything wrong if you made an RPG set in Ancient Greece and included men bonking (young) men. That's true regardless of whether you or your fans would fap to it or not.

Honestly, I don't care whatever issues they want to force or not force. All I want is good gameplay. That means if they want to focus on dialogue, then make it complex branching dialogue that takes thought to navigate to the "correct" option(s). The problem is that they focus on social issues MORE THAN (or instead of) gameplay. If they cared about them even equally, I might not complani.

Unless I'm making this up to keep sane, I believe Liara in ME1 explains Asari must fuck other species for gene variety therefore they do "normal" sex to find more partners, since the telepathy sex isn't very enticing to anyone who isn't an asari.

Sort of related, there is a group of NPCs in ME2 sitting in a bar - a salarian, a human and a turian, all watching an asari dancing near them. Each of them comments on how Asari are sexy because they resemble their respective races ("she looks just like a human supermodel, look at dem boobies!" "naw man, she looks like a sexy turian, look at those things on her head" "no wai, asari def. look like hot salarian ladies, didn't you see dat neck"), which some players intrepret as another way they find partners - they essentially look hot to everyone.

In other words

looking hot + vagina = lotsa partners of many species

looking like a squid + telepathy sex = you get this much respect

hilarious possibility that they actually *really* look like the predator.
