That's a very shitty logo, and someone did an even worst photoshop job with those black corners... sadly, I smell a cheap cash grab.

Oh noes they might have to hire a graphic designer! They're doomed!

You guys are funny. Seriously who gives a fuck about logos, besides marketing people? It's the game that matters.

I'm marketing people. :M

It's not about the logo per se, but the structure they have. I want to know if this is something beyond two bros in a bar saying they tottlay should make their own SSI... and the logo is all I have.

Not even a hint about a game yet.
When there is, then we can talk about the logo of the game. :smug:

P.S. Pfft, felipe, this is obviously an Illustrator job not a Photoshop one. The misalignment by a couple of pixels between the lines screams of someone who didn't turn off align to pixel grid.

I hear ya - and I know marketing is your area of expertise. Didn't mean any offense. I just know what it's like to be a small startup with small resources - and sometimes everything can't be totally polished out of the gate. They might be starting as just a couple of guys until they get more funding and momentum. That's how a lot of companies start.

Cash Grab or not, if they just modernize Pool of Radiance I would buy the shit out of that - I still play the original once a year.

I highly doubt they will make anything that could be even remotely be called shitty. These guys were at the top of their game + the industry's game in the 80's/90's Wargames/CRPG scene.

I have high hopes for their new project/s. Think positive thoughts, people. :D
SSI went out of business for good reasons though.

David Shelley was partially responsible for the design of Secret of the Silver Blades and Countdown to Doomsday which a lot of people say are really terrible.

I understand why some folks don't like Secret of the Silver Blades as much as the others in the Pools series, as Secret has allot of combat. But I prefer Secret over Darkness any day. I prefer lower level adventures, and by the time the party gets to Darkness, the player characters are practically Gods with their stats and spells. Plus, those Umber Hulks crashing through the mine walls in Secret were just classic! Just my opinion.
