This game made a plan form in my head. My brother is 12 years old and plays Call of Duty all day on his PS4 all day, every day. I bought a PS4 to play with him online but I just can't stand this type of game. I figured I'd buy this game for him and play with him and that way ease him into the Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on the PS4 which we can also play co-op. Maybe then something will change.

It breaks my heart when he asks me: "Why don't you like Black Ops? Like, everyone likes Black Ops!" and whenever I'm not playing a console first person shooter he laughs at me and says I play strange games. I'm prepared to buy him a computer if his retarded dad won't.

Maybe you should rather take him to Nuuksio NP or something instead of gaming even more :D

(The transition from Black Ops to SCL should be easier than BO to D:OS, because TB probably bores him right now without proper instructions.)

I would take him somewhere but he can't sleep without his mom in the same room. Besides, gaming is important and frankly the only thing I can teach him about since I was never good at sports or stuff like that.

I managed to beat pokemon red no problem at age 8 without being able to read English at all but he can't even figure out how to complete the missions in Destiny without rage-quitting. Something is seriously wrong with entertainment and if I'm to be considered a good brother I have to teach him to put in some effort in order to be rewarded.

I know a lot of people just see SCL as a pile of uninspired crap but I'm confident it can be a gateway game if pulled off right just on the merit of being co-op. Besides I still think it will be miles more fun for me than Black Ops ever was.

He couldn't beat the missions in destiny?

He's so used to games where the only thing you have to do is killing everything you see so the first objective that didn't involve killing all enemies he got stuck. (he had to destroy a giant evil computer or something of that nature)

EDIT: Fortunately it's an online game so I could log in and show him how to do it. I figure I can do that in games which require more thought as well.

In SCL you probably can start with dungeons where you can kill anything and then gradually introduce other elements.

Sounds like a good idea. Maybe I'll even start out with Diablo 3 then SCL then D:OS EE. All just to warm him up to the bird's eye perspective before changing gameplay too radically.

Right, he's 12 and can't sleep alone. He's a softie and gets easily frightened but his stupid parents won't teach him anything about life, they just put him in front of the PS4 and hopes he'll grow up a drone of Swedish society just like they are. Get a boring job which is easy and unfulfilling but with a good salary, meet a retarded mainstream girl and have kids he can put in front of a Playstation 8 or something. But hey, he can have a BMW with cup holders even in the back seat. He won't ever have to think again.

But... Man, that doesn't sound very good.
Sorry if I seem rude, advicing on your family matters - but shouldn't you try and have a talk with your folks about that shit? Maybe a seperate chat with your brother as well?

Well, basically they're brainwashed and retarded to believe a 100% that all of those things are what's most important. I'm the black sheep because I decided I wouldn't be cookiecutter and think for myself so they won't listen to me.

EDIT: I really hope you'll be able to create maps and adventures on the PC version and play them on the PS4. Probably too much to ask.

Wow, first world problems. I live in a total shithole with no real hope to ever leave this place. I'm stuck with an easy and unfulfilling job that pays crap and our retarded mainstream girls prefer rich guys. You swedes sure know how to live, you just don't realize how well-off you are.
:avatard:

Anyway, good luck with your SCL-based psychotherapy course. Who could have though that people would put such hopes in this game.

I guess so but I hate rich sheep as much as I hate poor sheep. Besides, I kind of feel like its his parents' and all other first world consumer drones that make your country a shithole.

I realize I'm coming off as a bitter person but whatever.

Also, the more I look into this game the more I realize it will probably be a guilty pleasure for me. The map editor could make this game as fun as Warcraft 3 was.

Want to meet a real life Sword Coast Legend? Well, too bad, you can't. But if you have any questions for the devs at Gamescom, post them here.
