Ever heard of this one?

I have heard of it. Saw it on GamersGate (along with Eye of the Dragon) awhile back, but decided to pass on them. I seem to recall both of them striking me as something that would probably have no real depth.

It has some depth. Read the Wikipedia article if you're curious, they have a good summary. The game can be fun to play with friends, playing it SP is pretty stupid.

"In general marketeers want a simple USP (unique selling proposition) that differentiates your game from the competition."

Now that is really the epitome of doublespeak when wanting for the developers to make another shitty copypasta of Modern Warfare or Gears of War equates "differentiating your game from the competition"

The unique selling proposition = new skin for Modern Warfare.

Divinity: Original Sin
I don't begrudge them, they're running a business, and selling rehashed versions of essentially the same product is profitable as far as rate of return is concerned, that is, until the retarded public wakes up. The fault is with the consumer buying crappy games. Let's be honest, true cRPGs are and will continue to be a niche market, the future for them is indie.
