A sequel set in the Easter Front announced:

It seems Eugen Systems dropped Paradox (or Paradox dropped them). I guess it was not much discussed here on Codex, Eugen had mishaps from the management and experienced a long strike this year.

So I guess the dynamic campaigns from Airland Battle are making a comeback? More realistic aesthetics? Will this be the Steel Battalion that we deserved?

I still would rather see a new Wargame series game.

I've played and streamed a shitton of Steel Division. The game could've made it if the Devs were not fucking around for the first few months leaving divisions grossly broken and imbalanced and then adding stuff like maps that are literally rotated first and foremost leaving said divisions op. Things were so broken that the first tournament was basically 3rd FJG against 101st in a thousand matches. Let's hope they learned something.

Anyway this is standalone like a totally new game and not a dlc/exp?
