For the modifications I'm making to temple+, I've come across the need for new effects when things like feat abilities or spells would be used. I have a pretty good handle on the particle editor so far, so GFX aren't an issue at all to create. However, I'm at a complete loss when it comes to new SFX for the events. Does anyone have any idea where I would find new sound effects?

Additionally, some of the new effects I will be making I plan on using existing game sounds for, does anybody know where I can find/extract all of the original game/co8 sound effect files from?

The original sound files are in the .dat files. Once extracted they should be in data\sound IIRC.
Likewise for Co8 (except they should already be extracted after you've deployed the modpack).

The sound files are indexed in .mes files found in the sound folder, and you play them using their index and the game.sound command.
