So with Skywind and Morroblivion already in the works, now we'll need a project that runs Skyrim in the Oblivion engine, one that runs Oblivion in Morrowind's engine and one that runs Skyrim in Morrowind's engine to complete the suit. Oblirim, Morrorim and Obliwind, as it were.

Morrowind in the Skyrim engine looks nothing like Morrowind, it literally looks like Skyrim with giant mushrooms here and there.

This should be actualy pretty good. Skyrim is just Oblivion, so improving Oblivion to Skyrim standards should do wonders for it.

Will the attributes make a return? If not, into the trash it goes, I'm a big guy for you.

Attributes affect your skills, your health gained on level up, your mana regeneration, how much mana you have and your speed and jumping height among some other things, yes it does.

But do those actually matter?

No, it's still just a videogame.

But they do make your character stronger. In fact, ignoring these is the reason for the leveling up problem - levels are almost meaningless, those are the numbers which matter. If you level up too fast, you won't be able to keep up with the enemies because your health/mana pool, skills, attributes, etc. will be too low to deal with the swole goblins the game expects you to.
