Finally, Star Citizen will have a worthy platform.

I welcome the ascension of our quantum robot overlords.

D-wave one is more "quantum" quantum computer.

Still, the ability to make it in ordinary silicon IC's sounds nice.

    No mention of Hairworks support?

And electronic bank accounts. Looks like we'll have to go back to precious metals and old fashioned safes.

"What we have is a game changer", says their team leader. I say fuck you, at this point it's a technological curiosity, nothing more. USELESS anywhere outside the lab. And it's gonna stay like that FOR A LONG TIME, even if any big business gets involved.

Because what the lab rats propose is a hardware platform including:

    - no established concept of architecture, machine code, etc
    - no vendor support
    hence
    - no compilers
    - no OS
    - no drivers
    - no software
    And first of all
    - NO compatibility with any existing architecture
    as well as
    - NO compatibility with any existing hardware

While only few of said items exists at all, on a paper.

I call it poor offer. No prospects for a general purpose CPU. Eventually, considering the calculation efficiency, the invention may be found useful as a black box processing the old fashioned binary streams. Think of GPU or cryptographic tokens.

So much about a full- scale quantum CPU. It's almost heart warming. Rot in hell, quantum processor. Let's strangle all innovation and plunge the civilization into new dark age!

Secret services and militaries will be very interested in developing it. They are probably already working on it in secret.

You don't need a quantum PC, just buy pillars of eternity.
