Yet another failed Nord counterattack on Vaegir territory.
Their lack of cavalry is their undoing.

A feast is held prior to the siege on the last Nordic castle.
Plenty of arrows to salvage in between shots.
The Nords were driven off their own walls and are slowly crushed.
It wasn't as easy as the open field battles. Casualties were high on both sides, but the attackers had way more bodies to throw.
The last Nord Castle is taken.
The defeated jarls scattered to the winds, unfortunate ones ended up as captives.
All that's left is to hunt down the landless Jarls...
No mercy. Death by a hundred arrows.

A rather easy compared to other arcade shooters, but still the great audiovisuals and overkill weapons made me replay it again.
What relation does this game have to Vapor Trail?

At first I chuckled at the use of the Viggen again in a shoot em up, but then noticed in the spoilers how the plane in this game uses the side weapons as the Viggen does as its special weapon:

Descending further into Overload, this time on "Insane" difficulty as prep for the inevitable Insane+ run.
After I grabbed the cloak, these Valkyries would fly mindlessly into walls, as if their AI turned off. I'm not complaining. They are cunts.

I gave Shannon a headshot with my sawed off shotgun, UNATCO troopers started attacking me, I ran away, Simons got hit by one of their bullets and wasn't too happy about that.

It's a cultural thing then. Here the concept of 'þegn' has no aristocratic association, the only status brought about by the title is being the best-treated slave of the bunch.

I've started making new characters in the last available version of Diablo HD starting with sorcerer. The men is still kicking with his magic, although I already fought with a mini boss who was immune to fire and lighting which made it less obvious when it comes to spell choosing. At least bone spirit isn't as useless as in vanilla, and the golem is very useful to distracting the bigger groups of enemies. Diablo really was pumped up and it is really necessary to keep teleporting around him to avoid Apocalypse and his meteor strikes. Playing on the maximum difficulty - Torment will be a really interesting experience, if I manage to go that far.
