It's great how ELEGANT these both games look and feel. From UI, writing, to gameplay, complexity, mission variety, etc.

Can't say, as I'm just starting with the Ishar series. I do recall seeing the screenshots from one of the latter games which had barbarian-looking bloke for a starting character.

Tho, so far, he and that dwarf ranger ended up as Minotaur chow.

I wasn't wrong, he DID star in his own game.

It predates Ishar, so he probably fell on hard times. (Not as hard as becoming Minotaur chow, though.)

Playing Dragon Quest Heroes got me in the mood to try DQ8 again. The slowness of the combat isn't so bad when you have a fast forward button, hue hue

My favourite enemy in Magic Carpet 2 returns.

It's just gets only better.

Final boss stage...

Who probably killed me more often then in all the previous maps combined. Tough, spawns monsters, tornados and fire spells like it's a 4th of July. I showered him with meteors and thunderbolts.

Now I have all the upgraded spells and can replay later with them. Great game. First Magic Carpet was too repetitive and it was only build castle -> destroy other guys routine. Here we have underground sections interconnetcing the normal ones. There are some traps and the magic systems, which is upgraded bring a lot of new spells to play with. The game tends to crash from time to time (divide by zero error), but since we have save system that's not a big problem.

Get Together Expansion (last one) is pretty great. Probably the best Expansion for any The Sims ever.

Basically, it lets you manage non-family sims easily.

It adds clubs. Club is a template with a place, participants, activity types, and even clothes they will wear then, if you want. You can change it all at any time, if you are club leader. You can add anybody and kick anybody at any time wihoutany penalties. Club also can give some bonuses of your choice. You can start club session at any moment and end at any moment. And most members will actually show up. I think they only skip session if they have work at the moment.

So, all the fun of virtual social life with way less hassle than before.

Also, clubs work even if none of you family is a member of them. In that case they still hold sessions pretty regularly on their own, so you know where you can find them and what they will do there.
