IIRC there are level streaming issues. Personally, I had horrid stuttering even at 60 fps, and no matter how much I googled the issue, no one seems to encounter it (or have a possible solution). I tried it on 2 different rigs with same results.
Weird shit, really. Folks that attempted to play the game on PS3 apparently reported identical issues with level streaming. At least there is a way for said problem to be circumvented when playing via emulator, else it would be impossible to complete the game.
Anyway, there are also some ugly visual glitches, skybox in particular is somewhat messed up.

Unless they're talking about 'fat' PS3, I've heard that PS2 'emulation' in later PS3 models is a crappy port of some early version of PCSX2.

Most of the campaign is set in only 2 time periods the American civil war and WW1 russian front.

Reloading a 1 bullet gun in line formation sucks, especially during the parts where you have no control of movement, you just follow the other guys and hope not to get shot.

Occasionally you get some modern weapons to help with the really difficult missions. It just aint trench warfare until someone brings a semiautomatic shotgun to the party.

Lets hijack a zeppelin, what could possibly go wrong.

Now lets work for the other side for a bit, you know to keep the history leveled equally.

And very rarely you also get to see some other time periods.

A very few Armikrog screens, otherwise I would spoil the entire game considering how short it is :

Years pass, and yet same old issues still plague emulation of this particular game.

What issues? I played it to completion a few years ago with no problems, albeit I did use software rendering since HW rendering in PCSX2 gives me weird vertical artifacts.

Its a shame that the new samurai warriors doesn't have the same content as the base game, its more of a remake, else it would be the ultimate version of the game indeed.
