Been checking out YT let's plays, looks like prime Let's Play material with high recruit turnover.
You can get enough elites to completely avoid regular units (at least on normal). They're still squishy (2-3 hits), but can kill in one hit right away. I unlocked mutant dozer and it comes with a really good trencher:

Seems like key to beating the game on normal is pimping elites until they start hitting for 20-30 and saving a fuckton of power cells.

Really like the art style and animations are just badass.

I really like it as well. The only thing that really bothers me so far from what I'm seeing is that
King Viscera's entire team regenerates in subsequent matches if you lose the first one. That makes anything but instant surrender pointless as everyone will take their A-team in the first go anyway. They should fix that and have him play with what was left from the first fight.

For a moment I thought it's a full-scale tactical game in vain of X-Com or JA. Then I've read the reviews.

If you can't beat him the first time, I doubt you'll make it back with the package :)

It's funny how many times you have to beat up that guy - "that's not even my final form!"

People really don't like the 2-step combat system, but I don't think it's a problem - it's weird, but you get used to it.

They'd better add some roster management - if all role slots are filled, anyone that joins from that role goes to limbo (I lost elite E-RADIK 8 that way). I had to intentionally get them killed to have a free slot.

Game lost quite a bit of that challenge and atmosphere it had at the begging. Some of the final areas were annoying rather that challenging: like, say, a foggy organic area chock-full of constantly respawning and partially invisible flying enemies, or even worse an area filled with moving platforms and populated with even more annoying flying enemies.
Final encounters were downright easy.
Still, this was, for the most part, one wonderfully weird and immensely enjoyable game.

From my experience VirtualPC was doing much better. Win95 on DosBox was crashing on me all the time (like every 10 minutes).
OFC hardware acceleration (Glide / Direct3d) is even worse...

Is W95 actually stable in this? I never managed to get it right nor to setup the Voodoo drivers. Do you have any links with instructions in case you managed to do it?
I'm not sure about Daum build, but in original Dosbox Win98 works fine. A bit unstable, but fine.
Fine enough to run even on an Android device and play 2d games.
