From the high middle ages to 1915 . That was the "heroic" period of our civilization, in Spenglerian terms. The 19th century has been the beginning of the decline, and the two world wars have simply accelerated the collapse. Things really started to turn bad from 1950 onwards though. We are now well into the "winter" stage of our civilization. Much like the Roman empire western civilization might last a couple more hundred years, but it will undergo such a transformation as to be nearly unrecognizable. I predict that in little more then fifty years the west will already reach the point where it will no longer be truly western, not as we know it. The Jewish take over of western culture during the mid 19th century is only a result of our culture growing weaker in the first place. Their role in our downfall has been to accelerate an already latent sickness.

Why? They are just protecting their own country. Why should they be acceptable targets? If they aren't attacking, they are no different from let's say taxpayers and voters.

I mean fighting a war of aggression like in fighting on the aggressor's side. Like for example Germans attacking most of Europe, North Koreans attacking South Korea, North Vietnamese attacking South Vietnam, etc. not the guys that try to stop them.

Well, typically this is the more honorable approach if you are trying to be a legitimate combatant because you are attacking a military target. Those who start with or especially focus only on civilian targets are by definition terrorists.

That's a military target, an economic target and a government target. WWII strategic bombings were decided to not be terror bombings because they were attacking economic targets.
The same reasoning could be applied to 9/11.

You are talking about micro events of decline, concerning localized cultures and nations, as opposed to the macro decline of the entire western civilization.
