Rumor: Resident Evil 7 for PS4 to Be Announced at E3; Probably Not Exclusive
by Giuseppe Nelva on April 19, 2014 3:37 AM 103 @abriael

PS4Rumors

There have been rumors floating around about the upcoming announcement of Resident Evil 7 at E3, and some voices even alleged that it would be a Xbox One exclusive. The latter won’t be the case according to an article on the website of the prominent Japanese Economic newspaper Sankei Shimbun.

The article mentions that for what PS4 games are concerned, Capcom plans to reveal an important game at E3, and that is expected to be Resident Evil 7. It also specifies that the sales expectations for the game are to sell over 5.6 million copies like its predecessor.

While only a PS4 version is named, the wording of the article does not suggest exclusivity. Considering that it’s a Japanese source, it’s most probable that the game will be multiplatform. It’s normal for Japanese articles to mention only PlayStation versions of titles they mention, especially on mainstream media.

Of course this should be considered a rumor until Capcom makes an official announcement. We’ll have to stand by and wait for June to see if the Sankei Shimbun is right about it.

Didn't cared about 5, didn't cared about 6... did Capcom gave any reason to think they stopped being retards? No?

Okay... wake me up when they release Resident Evil 8.

I hope The Evil Within turns out good and makes Capcom look at competence with envy. I guess it's possible they could both fail.

5 was pretty good, not sure why people have such a big problem with it. The forced co-op in singleplayer is a bit shitty but other than that, I thought it was a good game. Interesting that the visuals are better than Resident Evil 6.

I refused to play it because of the co-op bot, no grid inventory, and the whole white-man-killing-hordes-of-black-savages-with-the-help-of-his-light-skinned-sidekick thing.

What the fuck? The one Resident Evil game where you aren't killing a bunch of white people and it is suddenly racist? I would have thought it would have been more racist not to set a game in Africa, for fear of offending poor little flowers.

They set most of RE6 in China, I guess you think that's racist too? Is racism anything where a white guy kills anyone who isn't white?

Your 2 points are valid, but about the black savages, there is also civilized blacks and whites as well, and blacks and whites from the military. Resident evil 6 fixes the co-op bot by making it immortal. And the (tire)textures of RE6 is pathetic, they made a big deal with the lightining, but STALKER from 2007 is still superior. Aside from that, i liked those games, full of over the top nonsense.

Wait, Resident Evil SEVEN?

I'm getting so fucking old :negative:
More like Resident Evil SEVEN plus SEVENTY SEVEN. Spin ofs galore

PS2 remake of RE:CV works much better than GCN remake. Not that important, since CV is a shitty game (the worst in series till RE4 the end came).

WTF? Code Veronica is the last classic title of the Resident Evil. You've got all the parts of the gameplay, moody atmoshpere and cheesy but good enough plot to see the ending credits. PCSX 2 version, Veronica X (with some added minor stuff) worked for me without any troubles, some minor slow moments during some cutscenes, but that was it.

Anyway, RE6 was fun in co-op, I hope Capcom will do another couple of mini-campaigns and I'll be satisfied.
