Let's attempt to ambush them with our hilariously bulky vehicles! What can go wrong?

Unless the game bugs out on us again :argh: that should be the last three-enemy battle we will see for the remainder of the game.

Time to nope back to a camp for repairs.

I see another signal. We can come back to it.

f5pYeDG.png

...Uh oh. A random encounter happened, and the camp is still a good 40 KM away

Damn, the goon squad was hit bad.

Try to talk to them and get them to lower their guard so that we may get a drop on them.

Shoot them. Then shoot them some more.

Lousy shots like them can not be allowed to bring shame on the proud profession of bounty hunters. :argh:

Good riddance!

65 parts worth of repairs leaves us with 196 to spend.
Let's see what is for sale...

xbhDgQy.png

Oh, wow.

TWO super heavy lasers.

Yes, the game will let you mount four separate lasers at the same time.
Yes, the game will let you fire them all at once.
At the same target.

There's also a pair of health-leeching drones for sale. meh.

also we found the other half of a ramming vehicle. Unfortunately it requires a vehicle with a utility slot, which we do not have.

5nO2oZs.png

The AID would sell for 15 parts if you guys wish for it.
The chainsaws sell for 20 parts each.

wut we buying

But a big ass laser. Save the ramming stuff hoping to get a suitable vehicle in the future.

Being poorly dressed should be a shootable offense. :rpgcodex:

Buy the laser and sell the chainsaw. We'll be keeping AIDS in case we stumble on a decent vehicle in our travels.

Ramming is surprisingly satisfying in this game, once you have an AID installed. Just need to make sure you max out handling on the ramming vehicle, or you'll look silly trying to catch the more elusive targets. :M

Odd Niner has a empty weapons slot, so it gets a chainsaw for safekeeping.
The other chainsaw gets sold.

TTHbBOG.png

Behold! I honestly cannot wait to bring two lasers to bear against the same target.

ADpcRiC.png

The rest gets spent on a few hit point/armor upgrades for our vehicles.

So, that radio signal we passed by earlier...

NzhsQ4e.png

Well this looks familiar.

Can we make a different decision then last time?

The first few times I met this encounter my response was "Leave!"

This is the most terrifying sports stadium ever

We chased it, because we were not hardcore enough. Of course, we failed miserably.

I stand by my previous vote to shoot it. :rpgcodex:

Still not voting, but following the thread nonetheless. :avatard:

I've unlocked everything in-game except for the two MCVs you unlock at medium and hard difficulty. Almost unlocked the medium one, but died at the very last bit. Left me a bit disgruntled.
What it means though, is by now, I know the game pretty well. And I have a decent understanding of what constitutes the "best" choices in most encounters.

So it'd be cheating if I actually voted. Still, it remains amusing to watch.

I say chase it once again. So far it seems your crewmembers cannot be killed out of combat, unlike FTL.
