As a test of loyalty, Jews hands over his assault rifle and body armor to Agent Orange.
01.jpg

The former fremen will now prove himself before his Mua'dib.
Black Cat assumes control of the mortar.

02.jpg

While HHR prepares two firefoam poppers to counter-act any inferno cannon blazes.

03.jpg

The Scyther infantry type mechanoid moves faster than the Centipedes.

04.jpg

Hopefully we can deal with them before the Centipedes arrive.
We thought of moving the muffalo herds away but decided otherwise - Jaesun will use them as cover.

05.jpg

The battle begins. https://youtu.be/DxHKo35J010

06.jpg

07.jpg

Mortar fire is in effect.
The scyther took aim with its charge lance and successfully hits Jaesun with an early shot!

08.jpg

Fuck. Jaesun was told to maintain position. We need him right now.
A mortar shell flew overhead and instantly killed one of the scyther!

09.jpg

Well done Black Cat!
This is it! CHARGE! Kalin, Gwinn and Orange advances!

10.jpg

11.jpg

The four lumbering Centipedes approaches...
But not before the last of the Scyther is dealt with.

12.jpg

Orange takes out a pack lunch..
But was stopped when HHR's scream was heard over the radio.

'I'M SHOT! THERE'S ANOTHER SCYTHER RIGHT OUTSIDE THE BASE!

13.jpg

14.jpg

:rage: How the fuck did he get there?!

Kalin and AO doubles back, but they were outside cover. Kalin took a bad hit on his right arm and that's the end of his contribution for this battle.
01.jpg

02.jpg

He limps back to the hospital. The turrets remain silent, the Scyther's is out of their range.
AO tries to make it to cover and succeeded as the Bear Cavalry arrives on the scene.

03.jpg

Despite being outnumbered, the Scyther pulls out a nano-blade arm and cuts one of the beasts down before succumbing to the onslaught. A stray bullet from AO's assault rifle later finishes it off as a nearby bear declares its pregnancy.

04.jpg

05.jpg

At the hospital, Scrooge and Jews perform medical treatment on the wounded.

06.jpg

The hot afternoon is about to get hotter as the centipedes advances.

07.jpg

08.jpg

They split into two. One equipped with heavy phase cannon fired at Jaesun, but only struck a nearby Muffalo.

09.jpg

Another lets loose a stream of phase energy at Gwinn and struck her on the left foot.

10.jpg

Another hit like that and amputation is guaranteed.
But Gwinn hold her ground and returns fire.
The third centipede fired its inferno cannon, barely missing her.

11.jpg

But a blaze spreads to the turret right in front of her.
Jews reacted quickly and deployed a firefoam popper.

12.jpg

13.jpg

14.jpg

More barrage finally caught Gwinn.
Thankfully the firefoam does its work.

15.jpg

Scrooge rushes in with a second popper as another blaze sets fire to the turret infront of AO.
It's going to get hotter still.

'Hurry up with that popper!' AO shouted to Scrooge.
01.jpg

'Oh no!' Scrooge shrieked.
'What now?!'
'Please help me save Kaori!
'Who the fuck is Kaori?'
'It's my wolf! She's burning, oh god! Save her!'
'I got no time for this. Get back. This is a battlefield, we must slay the Shai-Hulud before it does more damage!'

02.jpg

Scrooge wanted to rescue Kaori, but decided otherwise. She held back tears as her beloved pet caught fire and died in a flaming pyre.

03.jpg

'Shitcockfuck' Jaesun gasped as he rubbed his palm over his chest...
He didn't pack grape juice for lunch.

04.jpg

He limped back towards the hospital.
AO and Gwinn are the only active combatants, they have two turrets and a mortar supporting them but the shells are simply not landing.

05.jpg

The Centipede ignored Jaesun's fleeing figure and targets another.
Gwinn's luck is about to run out.

06.jpg

Body ablaze, she started rolling and turning on the dirt, screaming in agony. The smell of burning skin and flesh is in the air. SMA rushes forward to rescue her.

07.jpg

'Are-are you an angel?' - Gwinn asked in between consciousness.
'No, I'm-'
'She identifies as an attack helicopter, go on get that meat outta here.' Jews shouted command to SMA.

He wanted to make a grab for Gwinn's discarded assault rifle, but thought better of it.
I aint dying today. No way.
He later caught a few rounds from the fourth Centipede as he attempted to retreat back into the base.

09.jpg

Fuck this fucking place, he winced as he climbed into his bed. The hospital was full and no one came to tend to him. Outside, gunfire continues to fill the air - suddenly a distant sound of thunder - and finally - rain.
Kalin and Jaesun gets up from their hospital beds and moved back into the fray.

10.jpg

The turret in front of AO exploded, the former tribal was caught in the blast, but he stood his ground.

11.jpg

HHR too, got up and readies another firepopper while still heavily bandaged.
'Hey! Stop doing that! Fix that last turret!' Kalin shouted as he arrived on the scene.

12.jpg

HHR obliges under a barrage of curses and swearing, as he opened the badly cracked panels of the turrets and adjusted the wiring amidst circuity - he took a round from a minigun on his left leg.

13.jpg

'Fuck this, I'm out!' he slams the panel shut and rushes back to the hospital.

It got dark.

'SCROOGE YOU DUMB BITCH STOP MILKING THE MUFFALO AND GET OUT OF MY LINE OF FIRE!' Jaesun screamed as he raised his scope.'

Every colonists' nerves are on edge. They've been in combat for hours.

01.jpg

The eclipse is not gonna help - it's dark - shots are going wild.

02.jpg

But somehow Black Cat's shell finally landed in total darkness. Heavily damaging the Centipede...but killing a bear locked in melee.

03.jpg

Scrooge's sorrow is only beginning as another muffalo fell under the cross fire.

04.jpg

And Kalin was nearly engulfed by an inferno blast.

05.jpg

'Oh no! Someone! Please save the cub!'
The bear cub had rushed towards its dead parents, a foolhardy move.
A barrage of minigun fire disabled the pathetic little thing. It starts to cry.
'I'll save you!'

06.jpg

SMA rushes forward, carrying the wounded cub in his arms.

07.jpg

'I gotcha little buddy! They won't hurt you anymore!'

The centipede, angered by this sudden rescue by an attack helicopter - spun its mingun's barrel in a howl of rage.

08.jpg

09.jpg

Two bullets struck SMA's back but she carried on.
At last, it's over. The last Centipede lays incapacitated.

10.jpg

A distant light indicates falling objects from the sky.

11.jpg

12.jpg

A reward from the gods, perhaps?
As the last of the wounded was taken care of. SMA limped off her hospital bed to turn off the sun lamp before saying good night to her fellow patient.

13.jpg

'It was a good battle today,' the fremen replied.

No colonists suffered crippling injuries.
But their animals bear the most losses.

01.jpg

A few nameless bears, and Kaori now rests in the colony's freezer, awaiting their turn to be chopped into fine meat.

02.jpg

One of the most tragic loss was a pregnant bear.

03.jpg

Her body was riddled with many energy blasts, but the death was caused by an explosive mortar.
Faced with such a downturn in the mood, SMA decides to throw a party.

04.jpg

The mood brightened even more when the heatwave ended.

05.jpg

Soon the colonist realize that the eclipse is still in effect, and their power reserves dwindled.
Once the party ends, HHR proposes another geothermal power generator to the north.

06.jpg

Black Cat tries to detach the nano-blade arms from one of the incapacitated Scyther, but failed. The arm shatters.

07.jpg

Gwinn, a crack addict takes another shot before heading to bed.

08.jpg

Jews scour the battlefield for anything of value and stumbles upon a minigun once wielded by one of the Centipedes.

09.jpg

Kalin's work with the mechanoids' disassembly bore a significant quantity of plasteel and valuable components.

10.jpg

At last he can become a true Fallout fanboy he always dreamed of and possibly don the colony's first Power Armor.

11.jpg

Hopefully the girls will notice him and he'll finally get laid.
His Tunnel Snake hardens at the thought.
Jews meanwhile commissions another piece of art from Gwinn...

12.jpg

A pair of symbolic globe now towers in his room. Reminding him of two worlds. One glittering with utopiandelights, the other full of struggles and death. Or maybe it's just a pair of testicles. Who knows?
Harvest time arrives, the colony now have enough vegetables to resume serving fine meals.

13.jpg

The abandoned cryo containment facility will be deconstructed for steel scraps.

14.jpg

The colony has completely recovered from the attack and life goes on in Rimworld.

With everyone else asleep, her nose sufficiently powdered and crops not needing any tending, we have ~qwinn sculpt another masterpiece of modern art.

desktop02.20.2017-12.l3q0h.jpg

Kalin wakes up very early, no doubt excited to finish his power armor and woo all the ladies by founding a local Brotherhood of Steel chapter.

desktop02.20.2017-13.8bo7n.jpg

Wind turbines need clear space around them, and since dirt will randomly have new trees popping up, we cover the area with some fugly but cheap concrete.

desktop02.20.2017-13.teolw.jpg

Guess RK wanted moar turrets here, so we'll do just that, and haul a ton of rock in front of them to slow down those gawddam mexicans.

desktop02.20.2017-13.wzpna.jpg

Cryowhatever research is completed, so might as well do the ship cryo casket tech next; it'll be required for an escape ship if we ever wanna do that.

desktop02.20.2017-13.f9pyz.jpg

A few traps in strategic locations will help a bit against invasions, as well.

desktop02.20.2017-13.ydr2p.jpg

Hypnoid grows slowly, and since we have so many competent farmers now, might as well put down another plot.

desktop02.20.2017-13.xoqae.jpg

With Kalin von Heisenberg busy with his magnum dong opus, Scrooge helps out in the methlab.

desktop02.20.2017-13.ajp2g.jpg

When no one's looking, Kasumi sneaks into the larder and eats a fine meal. Stupid dog, go eat some rats or something!

desktop02.20.2017-13.dwq47.jpg

Alpacas produce great wool, and a bit faster than muffalos, so since we've plenty of grazing space, we might as well tame the little bugger.

desktop02.20.2017-13.r1rxf.jpg

Our steel supply got completely exhausted by our increased defense budget, so we gotta go a-minin' once more.

desktop02.20.2017-13.hcpn1.jpg

Medicine's something we really don't wanna run out of when disasters hit, so Scrooge gets to whip up a new batch - not terribly expensive resource-wise, 1x neutroamine, 1x herbal medicine and 3x cloth, but it requires some skill in both doctor and crafting.

desktop02.20.2017-13.omo8e.jpg

We measure up Jews for his pauper's grave. Hopefully right next to HHR.

desktop02.20.2017-13.36rc6.jpg

Mortar shells aren't too expensive, so Kalin makes a bunch - being prepared is half the fight, after all.

desktop02.20.2017-13.hnpmg.jpg

~Qwinn produces an interesting piece on jewjitsu, so we install this to Jews's room and take out the other art pieces. Those're way too good for him anyway, this crappier piece will be sufficient to make him be not jealous about everyone else's bedrooms.

desktop02.20.2017-13.6zoiu.jpg

With our bear cavalry so diminished, the remaining veteran gets reassigned to combat medic duty.

desktop02.20.2017-13.kaq8x.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-13.bqrg3.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-13.a4p53.jpg

Fucking wargs, man. They only eat meat so they're experts at decimating animal populations - having it so close to our muffalos is unacceptable.

desktop02.20.2017-13.48rnb.jpg

Eastside defenses are mostly finished and looking mighty sexy. Meeeeexicaaaaaans, come out to plaaayyyy-aaaaayyyyy!

There's a ton of steel in this ancient vault, so why not break it all down and repurpose it into something useful.

desktop02.20.2017-13.ffo14.jpg

More beavers arrive, but it's no concern to us since we've plenty of wood stashed.

desktop02.20.2017-13.f5qyc.jpg

HHR fucks up the deconstruction of the old love shack and gets a big cut on his jugular; blood spurts everywhere. Nice going, fatty.

desktop02.20.2017-13.ygpth.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-13.diqrq.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-13.9pr0k.jpg

With HHR out of the commission for now, Black Cat gets to do the vault all by herself; AI's stupid about avoiding collapsing roofs like HHR just demonstrated, so we gotta micro her all the way through the process.

desktop02.20.2017-13.7fro3.jpg

Kalin is almost finished with the T-51b, but needs a bit of extra inspiration for the final touches.

desktop02.20.2017-14.v4pnv.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.n2ryr.jpg

HHR recovers without any long-term damage, and puts down a few more trade beacons to cover all the stuff we have. Only the items that fall within the beacons' radius can be sold to orbital traders.

desktop02.20.2017-14.dwrjg.jpg

A wild piggy is angered by our pilfering of the slate blocks, and is quickly shredded by our fancy new turrets. Makin' bacon.

desktop02.20.2017-14.pxq6e.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.pgr87.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.ofpau.jpg

Another pair of thrumbos arrive, and since we want that precious ivory of theirs, our strike team alpha takes up positions with scharfschĂĽtze Jaesun leading the charge. The older thrumbo of the two is already weakened a bit by asthma and such, so we target that one first to hopefully put it out of play quickly.

desktop02.20.2017-14.r5qqj.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.tdpa2.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.dnq1x.jpg

HHR is also drafted to be the designated switch flicker and emergency repairs peon. He vomits from the increased stress. Scrooge's mind is always on them swollen muffalo titties and how best to squeeze them, but fortunately she's stopped just before her obsession dooms her.

desktop02.20.2017-14.grqvo.jpg

Randy drops some meth into the lake. I forgot to pick these up so you go get them, RK.

desktop02.20.2017-14.9krtj.jpg

Everything goes well enough with our thrumbo slaughter; animals won't attack deactivated turrets so we totally exploit this feature and keep toggling them on and off again.

desktop02.20.2017-14.biqei.jpg

She quickly gets pounced, but fortunately the beasts lose interest once she's downed. Still, she'll die if she doesn't get help soon.

desktop02.20.2017-14.vgqjz.jpg

Thrumbos have strong attack, but fortunately our granite door has plenty of hitpoints, and HHR is decent at repairs.

desktop02.20.2017-14.uxqmu.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.j8oiq.jpg

Boomrat perishes in the crossfire, and fire rises so as a safety measure we temporarily draft the muffalos into the bear cavalry. SMA manages to grab Black Cat while the thrumbos are otherwise occupied.

desktop02.20.2017-14.39pbh.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.gnoja.jpg

Both of them are now sufficiently injured that we could just wait it out and play it safe, but since they're so slow now, might as well have some target practice at their expense.

desktop02.20.2017-14.qaoc3.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.o7p0g.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.kuou7.jpg

Black Cat gets rescued and patched up in time, and an ooga booga caravan comes to pay a visit. Unfortunately the thrumbos aren't interested in them at all - scavenging someone else's battlefield is always fun times.

desktop02.20.2017-14.8eo6m.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.59q9a.jpg

Kalin finishes his glorious power armor, and HHR immediately wants to put it on, being the coward he is. Hahahaha, think again blubber - power armor goes to the people who contribute in fights.

desktop02.20.2017-14.eqqaz.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.81o43.jpg

The thrumbo must be out of its wits by now because of all the bleeding and pain, and runs straight into the fire. Unfortunately the caravan is smarter than that and manages to avoid it.

desktop02.20.2017-14.dsoej.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-14.rzolk.jpg

Apparently the caravans don't respect doors being forbidden at all, and almost let one of the thrumbos in - fucking tribals! Fortunately the turrets manage to bring it down just in time.

desktop02.20.2017-14.luqgq.jpg

At least we can dump off a bunch of junk on them and make some moolah in exchange. I almost wanna buy those polar bears, but they're expensive and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't cross-breed with regular bears.

desktop02.20.2017-15.lmqxl.jpg

Blessed rain extinguishes the fire before it spreads too far, and the other thrumbo is finally downed as well.

desktop02.20.2017-15.bbopc.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-15.byo1s.jpg

There's no way to save the thrumbo, but Scrooge practices her doctoring on it regardless; plenty of herbal medicine to go around.

desktop02.20.2017-15.gfp7k.jpg

Aww yeah, 4x horns at 3000 apiece means we'll be making some real money soon.

desktop02.20.2017-15.c3qjh.jpg

The solar flare ends relatively quickly, and none of our meats have a chance to rot. Phew.

desktop02.20.2017-15.76pcm.jpg

It's a grizzly scene at the animal den after all that thrumbo doctoring, but fortunately animals are dumb and don't care about filthy environments at all.

desktop02.20.2017-15.6uptg.jpg

The old mortar room gets fixed up a bit to get rid of those overhead mountain tiles - we don't want no stinkin' bugs right in the middle of our base, after all. Will make a good double bed room if people start marrying.

desktop02.20.2017-15.sapiv.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-15.45pjp.jpg

desktop02.20.2017-15.ppomr.jpg

We've lots of silver now, so rather than just having it sit around (it contributes to the colony's 'wealth score', which is the main statistic with which the storyteller decides the strength of attacking raids - to my knowledge this applies to Randy Random, as well).

It costs us dearly, but past slights with the outlander union are forgiven and we can now order caravans for just 300s a pop. An exotic goods trader is summoned to get rid of those horns and statues that're also generating wealth, and hopefully they'll have some nice shit for sale, as well. Back to you, RK.

Watching Steve play Co-Op with someone actively sabotaging the plans of his AZN mind is almost as much fun as him suffering though some obscure gifted animu game. I approve, carry on men. :salute:

So far the other Rimworld LPs were either abandoned or ended badly as intended, fingers crossed that this time the proud people of Codexia will manage to leave and bring INCLINE to the galaxy.

I actually hate planning a base and left most of the base planning to Turisas.
So far he knows what's he doing and I appreciate the spartan accommodations he sets up for the colonists early on. Old me would've given them at least 5x5 rooms and wasted a lot of space in the caverns.

While I appreciate Turisas addition of 2 more mortars - I'm disappointed at the exclusion of incendiary mortar. HE Mortars may kill instantly when it lands on the right spot, but Incendiary Mortar is a potential problem even when it misses by burning the ground it strikes. Obviously there's going to be a problem should a blaze break out near our base, but I still think we gain more by having one.

I like it when he reads my mind perfectly. The two turrets formations do not necessarily cover each others' line of fire.

03.jpg

04.jpg

But with good placements of walls, the enemies will have no choice but to pass through the crossfire.

05.jpg

Facing a superior ranged enemy made me think. We need walls to cover ourselves from such threats.
By limiting the enemy to just one avenue of entry, we make them slightly more predictable.
A random pair of bulls join our flock - damn.

06.jpg

Why can't it be a male and female?
Kalin will manufacture additional headgear protection for our combatants.

07.jpg

And more cargo pods drop from the sky - this time raining chunks of steel.

08.jpg

The wall is done, we add a light source in the middle of the field -

09.jpg

Should an attack happen at night, the brightly lit area will increases our chances of hitting them.
Meanwhile, Jaesun tunnels through a mountain to get to a deposit of precious components.

10.jpg

While a southern wall is proposed.

11.jpg

We can't let the geothermal generators take those kind of beatings again.
Just as the day is settled a power psychic wave emanates, driving stress levels of all male colonists way up.

12.jpg

Better monitor these bastards carefully for now.

A small group of tribals arrive at our colony. They are friendly and willing to trade.

01.jpg

Shortly after, the exotic traders arrive.

02.jpg

I can smell the silvers coming in and sweet, sweet hardware.

03.jpg

04.jpg

The tribals have very little we want, but we sell them a few pieces of unwanted clothing and pocket their silvers.
The Compact caravan should have better inventory and even deeper pockets.

05.jpg

06.jpg

They even have an AI Persona Core to power up the ship's central computer - but I don't think we're at the stage where we need one yet. Because there are two items that interests me immensely, and no, it's not the worthless hare pets they have for sale. You call THAT exotic? For shame!

Gentlemen, I introduce you to the world of Bionics:
07.jpg

20% increased run speed - literally Adam Jensen right there.

08.jpg

Pain blockers augment on the brain.
No. More. Pain.
We dump all four thrumbo horns and unwanted art sculptures.

09.jpg

The traders looked at the horns closely, making sure they're genuine before placing them on a scale to affirm the weight. And then transaction was made. Both sides are very pleased with their acquisition.

Elsewhere, Jaesun finally succumbs to the psychic assault.

10.jpg

As long no one attacks, he should be safe.
We've finished the south walls anyway.

11.jpg

The new turret configuration can now cover better angles to the north and south.
I almost wish there's an attack coming so I can see this new configuration in action.

We need another long-ranged option.
Squire Kalin will now make us a sniper rifle.

01.jpg

A mysterious ailment struck multiple colonists at the same time.

02.jpg

03.jpg

It's an annoying disease that increases hunger rate. It can kill if left untreated.

04.jpg

Jaesun's tunneling of the old-component mine is complete.

05.jpg

There's potential here. If we know how to harness it.
HHR places some sandbags overlooking the small lake.
While Kalin checks out his finished product.

06.jpg

Combat night - it has a nice ring to it.
He moves towards the caves Jaesun has excavated and takes aim.

07.jpg

Amazing. The water in front and around him is too deep to cross. This is an excellent sniper's nest.
Ad Victoriam, brothers.
It means for Victory.

Tired of waiting for new bears to arrive, Scrooge is sent to start a new animal force - the Boomers.

01.jpg

But that plan has to be put on hold when the colony detected an oncoming drop pod..and they don't look friendly.

02.jpg

03.jpg

A pair of centipedes and scythers, just the perfect force to try our newly improved defenses.
Black cat flicks the western turret switch.

04.jpg

Muffaloes were evacuated to a safe zone.

05.jpg

The enemy unwisely split into two. One scyther assaults the north while another makes a beeline through the Geothermal wall.

06.jpg

Gwinn and Jaesun gives the attacker a proper welcome with sniper rifles.

07.jpg

08.jpg

The firepower was too much for the lone Scyther to face - it is incapacitated. Providing another chance for the colony to harvest its blade arm.

Meanwhile AO and Kalin combines together on the Geothermal Wall - with Jews around the corner, holding a mini gun.
09.jpg

He pops occasionally to let loose a burst from his mini gun, despite the rate of fire, he didn't even hit the Scyther once before the enemy falls.

10.jpg

The slower Centipedes arrive and split into two as well.

11.jpg

Jaesun caught fire, but with the rain happening, he shouldn't be in any danger.

12.jpg

The last Centipede burst endless streams of charge energy at the turrets, but couldn't land a solid hit.
It falls after a lengthy gunbattle.

14.jpg

And HHR succeeded in removing a blade arm!

15.jpg

Black Cat tries her luck on another corpse, but shattered it once again. :(

A rather quiet day follows -
01.jpg

Small group of visitors came to visit.
Gwynn creates another masterpiece.

02.jpg

Maybe it's time to start the super bionic soldier project..
Let's review the candidates.

03.jpg

Jaesun, our accomplished marksman should be kept at range. If any bionics should be installed, it should be the eyes.

04.jpg

Kalin is deemed too valuable as a Scribe than to risk an operation. Death would mean the loss of a great arsenal of weapons.

05.jpg

Jews lack the combat qualifications aside from striking really hard at point blank range with a blunt/bladed object. As chief trader and diplomat, we rather not risk him as well.

06.jpg

Black Cat, an aspiring kunoichi possess innate brawling senses, all of her strikes will most likely land. But the question is: can a ninja survive oncoming fire without a personal panty-shield? The answer is no. Not even with bionic legs. The Scyther's Nano Blade Arm does seem like a perfect fit for Brawling.

07.jpg

Gwinn is our third best shooter... but is not the right fit. Her age disqualifies her.

08.jpg

Orange is a prime specimen and our first tribal recruit. An accomplished marksman, possessing a smattering knowledge of animal handling, medicine and agriculture - this man's set of skills are somewhat replaceable. He is also a fast walker. Granting him bionic legs will make him even faster. The Painstopped brain augmentation should also help with his combat performance.

We will have to wait till his Gut worm disease to be cured before we proceed with the surgery.
On the mean time, we dial another exotic caravan for the chance to acquire more bionic mods.

The Boomers are separated from the rest of the herd.
02.jpg

And the gut worms patients receive another treatment session.

03.jpg

With all the spare resources and defenses completed, I decided to finally deploy a ground-penetrating scanner.

04.jpg

This high power-consuming machine allows us to detect metals underground.

05.jpg

We don't know what it is until we drill them out.
HHR builds a deep drilling machine on one of the patches.

06.jpg

Our first attempt struck silver. Which is the worst metal since you only extract a stack of 75 per completed batch.
Dang.
The exotic caravan arrives...

07.jpg

I can't wait to find out what they've got for sale.

So far the other Rimworld LPs were either abandoned or ended badly as intended, fingers crossed that this time the proud people of Codexia will manage to leave and bring INCLINE to the galaxy.
I was going to do one myself. Thought I'd try something new and generated an extremely hot world and arrive naked and alone.

Died of heatstroke within a day. :negative:

Trade commences.

01.jpg

Kinda disappointed with their inventory this time. Nothing much interests me.

02.jpg

Cooking training is simple and easy enough this shouldn't even be needed.

03.jpg

A simple prosthetic leg to replace a ruined leg? Not sure if I want that.
I made a trade for the plasteel instead so Kalin can make more Power Armor.

04.jpg

Power armor devours a lot of components. We should try manufacturing our own Components.

05.jpg

It's time to expand the crafting room.

06.jpg

Success.

07.jpg

It's a slow process, but we don't need to mine the components any more.

08.jpg

To prep for AO's bionic surgery, a sterile tile is deployed in the hospital. It takes steel and silver.

09.jpg

We also try to address' Jaesun's bad mood. He is very easily triggered. Perhaps giving him a better room to sleep in would help delay the break point.

10.jpg

We'll build it outside after we're done with the hospital.

11.jpg

12.jpg

Good enough.

13.jpg

Jaesun approves.

Oh my. It's time to prepare for a new recruit , I guess?

03.jpg

She's a decent soldier.
Her traits increases her Global Work speed by 55%! This is a big deal. It's too bad she doesn't have any passion with crafting.

04.jpg

MONEY MONEY MONEY

05.jpg

We assault them in the morning.

06.jpg

Gwinn shot the smallest one and retreats. For some reason the older thrumbos don't get mad.

07.jpg

The little one walks up to seven waiting gun-barrels.

08.jpg

We knock it out before it can do any serious damage.
One down, two to go.

Okay, time to collect two more horns.
01.jpg

This time, the thrumbos reacted at the same time. The big ones are tougher. And faster.

02.jpg

Jews was caught by a charge and had to beat a hasty retreat.

03.jpg

Realizing the need for more firepower, Black Cat flicks the northern turret switch.

04.jpg

While one remains fixed on Jews - the other rushes at the newly activated turrets.

05.jpg

It's time to dance.

06.jpg

The other thrumbo is busy wreaking havoc near the sandbagged turrets.

07.jpg

We ignore that one for now and focus on the other thrumbo.

08.jpg

At last the second one falls. One more to go.
The last thrumbo wrecks a turret and surveys its surroundings.

09.jpg

Kalin pops out of Jaesun's home and lets out an assault rifle burst.
However, he underestimated the thrumbo's speed and was caught as he was trying to close the door.

10.jpg

Thankfully the snipers did good work and finally the third thrumbo is neutralized.

11.jpg

Unfortunately only adult thrumbos yield horn when killed. I ended up with just 2 out of 3.

It's time to begin the bionic procedure - Agent Orange is sedated and Gwinn begins her work.

02.jpg

Black Cat makes a call to the exotic trader promising thrumbo horns for sale.

03.jpg

At last, the procedure is complete.

04.jpg

It's just one leg. One more and he'll run like the wind.
Project Super Soldier is just beginning.
Another day, and- oh a wanderer comes to join us.

05.jpg

A sex slave? :bounce: Holy shit, Kalin might get lucky this time!

06.jpg

Vat-grown flesh slave? Awesome! She's beautiful to boot! :bounce:
But look at her age, and you see the problem.

sad.jpg

:negative: This colony is doomed to never get any action.
She's also suffering from breathing problems that needs tending constantly.

07.jpg

This is an old, hypersensitive and pessimistic woman.
I can only think of one name when naming her.

08.jpg

09.jpg

I really don't know what to do with her. Do I really want to harvest a granny's liver and kidney? It's too bad we can't harvest her eyes though, since Kalin's left eye has gone bad from an old wound. 55% Sight Efficiency means poor accuracy lah.

sad2.jpg

You're forever a Scribe, Kalin. Shame on you.
Anyway, I assign her to the vacant room next to the kitchen and assigned her to just cooking and cleaning duties.

10.jpg

The Compact caravan arrives, guess we'll pick up new bionics and sell off these thrumbo horns.
In the cell, Jews successfully persuaded Belle to join.

11.jpg

I'll let Turisas name her.
I make a deal with the exotic trader and purchased another leg bionic and another Painstopper augment.

12.jpg

I'll hand over this to Turisas and hopefully he finds a better solution to Auntie Crispyn.
