At last the secret of geothermal power is ours to harness.

02.jpg

Kalin's efforts at the tailoring station paid off handsomely, no less than a superior duster was made. Scrooge the outdoorswoman, was selected to wear it.

03.jpg

Meanwhile our wolves continue to devour the wildlife.

04.jpg

This is what happens when you don't have enough raw meat to feed the wolves diet. They will hunt and it is inefficient since they usually get wounded and tear small corpses apart in one meal.
Meanwhile back in the cell, Brady refuses our last offer of joining and his meal privilege was terminated.

05.jpg

Jaesun starts upon a new project.

06.jpg

Blacksmithy is one small step to Machining - where we can make guns.
At last, the Geothermal Generator is complete:
07.jpg

We no longer need to rely on solar power and random wind.
Gwinn also has enough growing skill to plant healroots, a medicinal herb that can heal injuries.

08.jpg

09.jpg

Brady begins to regret the choice he has made.

10.jpg

Scrooge's taming skill failed her again.

11.jpg

FFS. It's 1 out of 5 chances to successfully train the wolves, while the muffaloes are 1 out of 8...c'mon, girl!
Randy drops a cargo pod and inside are 14 doses of Wake-up drug.

12.jpg

The drug refills the Rest Meter, but it is addictive.
We store it for now and hope Kalin doesn't notice.

Is it too late?
3 hours later, Brady's release came.

02.jpg

Scrooge quickly got out of bed and rush to seal the deal.

03.jpg

04.jpg

Brady fetches a good price. Well worth the days worth of meals we fed him.
I picked up an incendiary launcher, and sold off the older Male muffalo to jack up our stockpile of silver back to 700.

05.jpg

It was a good trade.
Also, I think it's time we try to decorate shit with art. Let's get a sculptor table going.

06.jpg

Jaesun finishes research and continues on towards Machining.

07.jpg

08.jpg

While Gwinn is told to make some sexy craft wooden figurines.

09.jpg

10.jpg

The slowness of the craft work compels me to add a tool bench. It costs 200 iron but improves crafting speed by 6%. And can be shared by multiple workbenches.
Unfortunately Gwinn is still a beginner when it comes to crafting Art...

11.jpg

:rage:

Well,t's okay, we deconstruct the finished sculpture to get back the wood (at a slight lost) and let her try again to practice her craft.
Elsewhere, someone didn't make it.
12.jpg

RIP. Right at midnight, cargo pods rained from the sky, dropping dromedary leathers.

14.jpg

Gee, I guess Kalin should continue tailoring all this to make money?

The dining room is still awful, but I decided to let Scrooge clean it up to see if it's just goddamn dirty...

01.jpg

02.jpg

Upon finishing it, the rating turns to 'decent' so all we need is just a few decent decoration to push it up to 'decent' all the time.
As Scrooge tucks away the broom and heads out to her favorite muffaloes, a nearby power cable shortcircuited and explodes near her. She tries to put out the fire, but begins vomiting from food poisoning.

03.jpg

The two homosexuals rushes out in rescue of the Muffalo Granny whose clothes caught fire.

04.jpg

The stupid wolf pet rushes over only to get its ass on fire as well.

05.jpg

Situation got under control but two patients await medical treatment for minor burns.

06.jpg

HHR decides to take a break and pay his respects to Brady.
'You gonna bury him?' Gwinn asks as she tends to the wounded wolf.
'Yeah, Imma bury my face in him,' came the reply.
'Wha-?'

07.jpg

HHR sets Brady's naked corpse on the table and smacks his lips.
He took a long piece of flesh into his mouth, deepthroated it repeatedly...imagining himself as one of those gay youtubers he so greatly despised.

08.jpg

And bites hard, severing the limp piece of flesh away from its source, and chewed.
Gwinn came just as he swallowed the last piece of the flesh.
'MMMm..GWINN! .Oh...I was just..gonna bury...the body. Yeah.' HHR sweats as he wipes away some dried blood from his mouth.
Gwinn pretends not to notice.

Scrooge woke up and noticed her crotch is slightly exposed from her badly burned pants...

09.jpg

She quickly grabbed Brady's discarded pants from the storage area and put them on.

10.jpg

Another day, another terrible piece of art made by Gwinn.
After what she saw today, who could blame her?

It's raining. I guess it's a good time to show off the incendiary launcher and display the dangers of boomalopes.

01.jpg

Boomrats explosions are 3x3 tile and the biggest threat is their high-speed walks. Boomalopes on the other hand has moderate speed...but boy..words don't do justice on the size of their explosion.

Let's show you - Kalin takes an incendiary launcher and heads out.

02.jpg

Incendiary launcher works like a ranged weapon, except when it lands a hit, it creates a + shaped burning tiles.

04.jpg

Burning isn't like bleeding. It panics the victim. Suffice to say, if no one else around to put out the fire and someone continues to shoot at you with an incendiary launcher, it's game over.

05.jpg

Now the reason why nobody employs incendiary launcher freely is due to the collateral damage it'd cause, fire spreads fast on grassy plains and eventually the fiery aftermath of battle is gonna be one hell of a pain to deal with.
But let's show you the radius of a boomapole explosion.

06.jpg

Mother of god.
Kalin nearby got within the radius. That's a 4 tile explosion.

07.jpg

08.jpg

We let the rain put out the flames and haul the corpses back for butchering.
Job well done for both Kalin and Jaesun.

09.jpg

We got gunsmithing. Sniper rifles soon.
HHR, not wanting Gwinn to spread the word about him decides to throw a party.

10.jpg

11.jpg

Everyone gathered at the dining hall and stood a distance away from HHR.
'Guise come closer, I have something to say..'

12.jpg

'I'll stay right here. Thanks.' Kalin nervously replied.
Everyone else maintained a polite seat, two tiles away from the psycho.

Social relations are problematic for psychos.
Gwinn the newcomer, has no problems making friends already.
13.jpg

Jaesun hardly interacts with anyone, and stayed in his research lab for weeks. He didn't even care when Rowdy his pet dog died.
14.jpg

HHR is even worse, he considers Kalin as his rival. If those two are not kept separate things might escalate gradually.
15.jpg

The funny part is, Kalin isn't even aware of this - he thinks everyone likes him since he generally likes everyone.
16.jpg

Same deal with Scrooge.
17.jpg

The party concluded, there wasn't much to say. HHR wouldn't let up on preaching about the dangers of homosexuality and other degenerate activities he feverishly condemned yet has no issue with recalling over and over.
Everyone just wants to take a time off and get on with their lives.
At least it was a party.

18.jpg

And the KKK colony lives on.

Right, we need a fucking pool table. It's time our colonists have some real entertainment.

01.jpg

Corns have ripened and ready for harvest.

02.jpg

And cargo pods drop artic fox leather. Hah! Randy is too kind.

03.jpg

Our active comms console picked up a passing by trade ship. They're willing to open trade at no cost.

04.jpg

05.jpg

They supply arms, unfortunately the quality is way below par.

06.jpg

07.jpg

We decide to just dump some unwanted clothing and trade for medicine instead.

08.jpg

And have the goods delivered to our door step through cargo pod drop. Awesome!

09.jpg

Pool table is done, but the dirty rec room is deemed 'awful'

10.jpg

Whiny bastards.
Scrooge on the mean time tamed yet another male muffalo. Shame.

11.jpg

Kalin's gun workshop is complete, he can now stop work on the clothes and start making Assault Rifles.

12.jpg

13.jpg

We're gonna need a lot of components for this.
Meanwhile, Jaesun's hunting trip goes awry when his bullets accidentally grazed a grizzly bear.

14.jpg

He legged home, radioing Kalin to switch on the turrets.

15.jpg

The bear was greeted by gunfire upon arrival. It collapses in a pool of blood, barely alive.

16.jpg

But orders to hold fire was given.

17.jpg

It was decided that it would be best to practice Gwinn's medicine skills on it instead.
She started work at 9 PM

18.jpg

It was a long process. But well worth the medical experience.

19.jpg

20.jpg

She went to bed at 2 am. The bear will live.

21.jpg

To serve the colony instead.

I must confess I am rather perplexed by the lack of horrible deaths. I only got a little burnt and beat up, but I've got my limbs and organs fully intact. Is this some kind of long con?

I dunno lah, guess he feels pity on us since the colony is still shit poor. I would've thought those tribal raids would've been more numerous, though.

We'll need to bump ~qwinn's cooking up a notch so she can cook fine meals - both simple and fine meals require the same amount of materials, and kolonists get a small mood boost from the latter so there's no reason to keep feeding them shitty simple stuff if we can avoid it.

desktop02.18.2017-08.z2o4c.jpg

Our southern area is completely exposed to raids, that geothermal generator is inconveniently placed since it'd likely be used as cover by raiders and get turned into smush by gunfire from both sides. Something needs to be done about this.

desktop02.18.2017-08.93ogj.jpg

HHR has made himself useful by mining some much-needed steel. Care must be taken that the ancient symbol of the gods is not disturbed, however.

desktop02.18.2017-08.u3rzt.jpg

The bear that ate Rowdy happens to be a female and would make a good mate for our bachelor bear. There's only a slight chance it'll get angry from taming attempts so what could possibly go wrong?

desktop02.18.2017-08.rjpb3.jpg

Placing a spot for ready meals right next to the door will make it more efficient for people coming in for munchies - they don't have to keep running back and forth into the freezer anymore, and food consumption is adequate that the meals won't be ruined by temperature in the cooking room.

desktop02.18.2017-08.32p4y.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-08.fzo5m.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-08.n5pkz.jpg

~Qwinn's making some progress but still can't quite make the fine meals yet. For being such a disappointment, we put her to do some grunt work for proper motivation. She wouldn't wanna become a kalin for good, now would she.

desktop02.18.2017-08.0urz0.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-08.mur4j.jpg

More blessings from Randy, nice.

desktop02.18.2017-08.ywrzy.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-08.72q8x.jpg

The turrets could use some improvement; having chunks of rocks around them will only slow attacking melee enemies down, they won't do squat against ranged enemies. Sandbags will, providing some manner of cover against ranged weapons so let's drop some o' those babies down.

desktop02.18.2017-08.zoqqj.jpg

The exotic goods trader has some properly exotic goods on him. The mega tv would be great since it's by far the best source of joy, but alas it's much too expensive for our proles still toiling in the dirt and muck. Oh well.

desktop02.18.2017-08.jdpno.jpg

Kalin gets up and instantly starts working, instead of stuffing his face or going for some useless idle pleasures. Attaboi.

desktop02.18.2017-08.ooo7d.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.jtr3o.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.r1par.jpg

Scrooge starts making her daily rounds while the murderous bear claims yet another victim - at least it wasn't one of the muffalos. And somehow against all odds, Scrooge gets it just right the first time, and we got ourselves two bears now. Yeah, baby!

desktop02.18.2017-09.jhqzg.jpg

That neurotrainer would give several skill levels' worth of medicine skill which is normally very slow to increase. Why do we have to be so goddamn poor.

desktop02.18.2017-09.ryr4f.jpg

Kalin finishes the assault rifle and it turns out to be a piece of shit. Nice going there, what a waste of 7 components.

desktop02.18.2017-09.pnqu1.jpg

And just because we already don't have a ton of these, here's another screenshot of Scrooge failing a taming that I took for some weird reason.

As penance for fucking up the assault rifle, Kalin gets to make a ton of joints that he won't get to smoke at all. Take that you dolt.

desktop02.18.2017-09.ggp5o.jpg

For some reason RK's got Jaesun researching firefoam which isn't very interesting at all, but might as well let him finish.

desktop02.18.2017-09.tgqq6.jpg

HHR has a dream about a golden-maned prophet, and is inspired to build a YUGE! wall
TrumpWall.png
against those gawddam mexican tribals, technically in theory this should alter their pathing if they assault from the southeast and have them come from the east, instead - straight to our turrets. In theory.

desktop02.18.2017-09.i1r7s.jpg

Turret improvements are finished as well and they are looking considerably more sexy now.

desktop02.18.2017-09.7appe.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.f8rq1.jpg

The silly firefoam research is finished and now we can get to the good stuff, yeah boi! Better living through chemistry is so close Kalin can almost taste the cocainum.

desktop02.18.2017-09.sgpv2.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.bbpb6.jpg

One of the doges get nipped by an angry mutant ninja turtle, but at least our bear's finished healing up.

desktop02.18.2017-09.74pml.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.u4pf2.jpg

Aww yiss, that didn't take long. Flake is shitty crack cocaine that shouldn't be used due to its high addictiveness, and yayo is the more refined form that doesn't sell for as much (when you take into account the doubled raw material costs vs. flake), but is a good source of joy in the form of nose candy. Yayo's also required for some of the more advanced drugs.

desktop02.18.2017-09.enol2.jpg

Our bachelor's a bachelor no more, for he's got the moves. Hopefully this is the start of a killer bear army, RK better not sell them.

desktop02.18.2017-09.q0oeg.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.c6qfr.jpg

~Qwinn finally levels up enough to make the more efficient fine meals...

desktop02.18.2017-09.0qrzs.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-09.a7qdj.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.i8pke.jpg

...and as her reward she gets to clean up all the filth left behind by the beary bear sex. Animals generate a lot of filth so we ban them from the base for now. One of the coolers goes kaput as well, but since the ambient temperature is much more manageable now, it's no big deal.

desktop02.18.2017-10.pzrha.jpg

A turtle self-tames, probably to get sold off by RK, the soulless merchant.

desktop02.18.2017-10.38ouc.jpg

HHR is enticed by the idea of wacky tobaccy cigars rolled up in Kalin's sweet bosom.

desktop02.18.2017-10.r6o4c.jpg

Multi-analyzer sounds like a good idea, given that it'd make the research more efficient. And research is all.

desktop02.18.2017-10.a4rtu.jpg

Gun guy doesn't have a very interesting inventory, but we're more than happy to dump some unnecessary tribal gear on him.

In an attempt to make things a tad more efficient, a path to our farming area is made - walking on a proper floor is faster than dirt. It sorta works, too. Pathing AI in this game isn't the greatest.

desktop02.18.2017-10.rar5m.jpg

Another day, another muffalo. Hope RK doesn't sell them all so we can get some quality wool for better clothing.

desktop02.18.2017-10.aio0y.jpg

The leader of the ooga booga tribe dies under suspicious circumstances, and the new leader is some chinamon dude. Very troublesome.

desktop02.18.2017-10.1hqey.jpg

Now we're getting to the good stuff, wake-up isn't that addictive and can be used to skip sleep altogether if needed. It also bestows a minor boost to things like surgery, should that be required.

desktop02.18.2017-10.eir2z.jpg

Well, it was a good idea but I forgot for a second that we're poor as fuck, plasteel and gold don't seem to occur naturally on our neck of the woods so we'll need to buy it at some point. Oh well, guess Jaesun's gotta do without the analyzer for now.

desktop02.18.2017-10.5qplj.jpg

What we can do, however is to get our Heisenberg on. Yeah science!

desktop02.18.2017-10.f7q4x.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.5vruq.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.t5rmv.jpg

Scrooge is on a roll, and some lube pirates appear to do some trading. ~Qwinn finishes a sculpture and yet again it's a complete piece of shit. FFS.

desktop02.18.2017-10.7nols.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.bzoyr.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.94oeg.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.1upbo.jpg

The pirates have some slaves for sale, but they're both damaged goods, and not that great either. Pass!

desktop02.18.2017-10.lhp82.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.92rye.jpg

Orbital beacon is a bit inconveniently placed but after some rummaging about we manage to get the smokeleaf joints within its radius and finally make some moolah. Kalin sheds a tear as his hard work disappears into the orbit.

desktop02.18.2017-10.36rwh.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.v7omw.jpg

More drugs! Go-juice is like condensed high T juice, it makes you... go. Popping one before combat will make you ignore all but the most grievous wounds, move faster and do more damage. All that good stuff. Great for surgeries, too.

desktop02.18.2017-10.9vr70.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-10.h9qlb.jpg

Training doesn't go as well as taming lately, but Scrooge keeps trying nonetheless. The trees are a problem since the grown ones can be used as cover by raiders, so the immediate area surrounding the base will need to be cleared.

~Qwinn's a night owl which means she should stay up at night and sleep days not to mess with her mood, but she's deadly tired at the moment. A line of cocainum and all is right in the world again.

desktop02.18.2017-10.oapez.jpg

I haven't followed Scrooge that closely lately, and the first time I check on her she's just laying around. Hrmph.

desktop02.18.2017-10.o4qov.jpg

Generally, npc's like to hug walls when attacking so we drop down some traps to the spot where the men's rights activist assaulted from earlier - just a few traps won't do much but it's better than nothing, and once crafted they can be rearmed and used infinitely.

desktop02.18.2017-11.bequr.jpg

Aw shucks. At least there's some meat left in the carcass so Scrooge gets to haul that all the way across the map - have fun!

desktop02.18.2017-11.edp68.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.gyrs2.jpg

A duo of crazed rhinos appear; manhunters will attack any and every humanoid they can reach, but they won't attack structures or disabled turrets so they can be avoided if you stay indoors. After a few days they will move on, but since that'd be a bitch move, we ain't having none of that nonsense.

desktop02.18.2017-11.clp0b.jpg

HHR, being the offensively useless little weiner that he is, is placed on door repair duty - if kolonists attack a manhunter and then retreat behind closed doors, the manhunters will wail on the doors a bit. RK was SMRT though and made this door out of granite, which means even a rhino won't get through it anytime soon.

desktop02.18.2017-11.toput.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.ljq0x.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.sbo7v.jpg

Attack and retreat goes well enough, the timing with the door is off by a bit and ~qwinn gets bruised - nothing serious, fortunately.

desktop02.18.2017-11.3mr6i.jpg

Meanwhile, Scrooge decides to leave the safety of the base to go tame a muffalo. FFS. The trap that we placed earlier fortunately slows the rhino down a bit and she makes it back in time.

desktop02.18.2017-11.hno65.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.jipm8.jpg

Turrets and our heroic defenders together make short work of the first bully, and other one is seriously hurt by our previous shots.

desktop02.18.2017-11.3gq51.jpg

Hasta la vista, baby.

desktop02.18.2017-11.qrp3h.jpg

The second rhino's bleeding out on the north side, so Scrooge makes the best of it and heads out once more. You just can't tie her down.

desktop02.18.2017-11.hwq8u.jpg

We could just wait it out until the second rhino collapses from the bloodloss, but Jaesun being the psycho that he is, jumps at the chance to cause some more violence.

desktop02.18.2017-11.ocoe9.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.ywqvs.jpg

That's one tough fucking beast, but it finally succumbs after Jaesun empties his entire mag on it from point blank range.

desktop02.18.2017-11.2eo9r.jpg

We finally get some herbal medicine as well - it's a good thing to have for smaller wounds, and is a prerequisite for crafting proper medicine later.

After the excitement of last night, everyone's in high spirits. Kalin gets insulted for no particular reason. That's a bad Kalin!

desktop02.18.2017-11.k3pb2.jpg

HHR enjoys a nice nap amidst the carnage and gore.

desktop02.18.2017-11.aqrnn.jpg

Our muffalos are finally starting to be something more than just useless grass-eating machines. Milk can be used instead of meat when making meals. Because nothing says a fine meal like corn boiled in milk.

desktop02.18.2017-11.6npmo.jpg

The trap placement proved to be effective so why not finish it asap. Kodexians do love their traps.

desktop02.18.2017-11.pdrzb.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.h4py7.jpg

Kalin wants to be nice to Jaesun and make him a hat too, and is insulted for it. Rofl.

desktop02.18.2017-11.hmrs2.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-11.qcrwe.jpg

Research is finished, and we might as well do the last one before RK decides to research something dumb like hydroponics.

desktop02.18.2017-11.87ryk.jpg

~Qwinn heals up nicely, and gets to sleep whole day because of being a nightprowler.

Kalin redeems himself partly by crafting a superior hat for Jaesun, and it seems like the right time to make some proper gear for Jaesun, since we are kinda underequipped against pirate band raids right now. Unlike tribals, they've access to some proper hardware and things could go badly for us if and when they decide to attack.

A solar flare occurs, and since it's such a pain in the ass to deal with, this seems like the perfect place to pass the game back to RK. Enjoy, lah. :troll:

Aiyah, solar flare no big deal lah. As long you don't need turrets...you won't die one.

01.jpg

But it can get very bad since the freezers failed, luckily the weather not so hot, or else the meals rot faster.

02.jpg

For now the residual cold will keep the meat refrigerated till the solar flare passes.

04.jpg

Might as well clean up all this mess Turisas has created.

05.jpg

Rhino blood everywhere, cibai. Wad happen ah? I thought the rhino never made it inside?
I gave up on carving sexy wooden figurines, instead I instructed HHR to construct finer dining chairs.
However, while working he ran across Gwinn and they exchanged insults at each other.
'Y'know Gwinn, I can always appreciate a body with fine tastes...'
'Get the fuck away from me you sicko.'

06.jpg

07.jpg

Gwinn was triggered and smacks the shit out of HHR. HHR, being incapable of violence could only raise his arms to block.

08.jpg

Both of his fists were bruised. And the minor incident ended.
Jaesun woke up the next day and wondered why his chair felt so much better than before-

10.jpg

It inspired him to another scientific breakthrough.

11.jpg

Let's go for medicine production now.

12.jpg

Good news continue to pour in, Scrooge tames another muffalo.

14.jpg

And as if that wasn't enough Randy dropped a cargo pod.

15.jpg

Filled with tasty, healthy insect jellies!

16.jpg

Thanks, Randy.

Solar flare ended late at night. Power was restored - and one fucking shortcircuit occurs in some weird segment of a wall within a cave..
01.jpg

Kalin had to break through the wall to get to the source of the flame. Dunno why Turi design the walls like this.

02.jpg

03.jpg

HHR was so proud of Jaesun's new chair he even gave it a name.

04.jpg

 Seriously this game is just random awesome.
Kalin later emerges from his workshop carrying a fine work of art as well...

05.jpg

An excellent assault rifle with an elegant engraving to mark its creator's obsession.

06.jpg

:shredder: What a cuck.
Later that day, a group of alphabeavers arrive.
07.jpg

I wanted to send Jaesun out to wipe these animals out, but then I remembered Turi actually wanted the forests cleared. Might as well let those furries eat the tree...for now.
Shorly later, Kalin emerges with a Kevlar helmet.

08.jpg

And medicine production is now possible.

09.jpg

To piss off Turi, I went for Mortar research next... Whee.

10.jpg

Randy approves and drops another cargo pod.

11.jpg

:hmmm: What could it be?

12.jpg

39 Medicine?! FREE?!
Almost on cue - Scrooge tames another muffalo.

13.jpg

14.jpg

:salute: This colony just can't stop winning.

The comms console crackles to life, a combat supplier trade ship orbits the planet.
01.jpg

Scrooge rushes to the console and opens a channel to trade.

02.jpg

We don't really have anything they want. But our decent stockpile of silver made me more willing to spend on a Good sniper rifle. It'll save a lot of time and components just buying it off them. A sniper rifle's extremely long range is very useful and I think we got a good price for it.

Kalin steps out with an armor vest.

03.jpg

04.jpg

It'll keep our soldiers alive longer.
I ordered another set of helmet and vest to be made.

05.jpg

While HHR continues to hunt down for components scattered all over the hills.

06.jpg

Kalin did not disappoint, the second armor is of superior quality.

07.jpg

And HHR's efforts on furniture upgrades paid off handsomely for the colony.

08.jpg

We now have a somewhat impressive dining room! Yay!
This is gonna give any dining codexer a mood increase that lasts quite some time.

Two sets of armor, a good sniper rifle and two assault rifles. Our mission is a go.

01.jpg

Jaesun grabs the sniper and walks towards a hillside.

02.jpg

Every time Scrooge tames an animal near this wall, she senses something 'dangerous' behind the steel wall. Something unnatural.
Jaesun looks through his scope to gauge the distance between him and the wall. And marks the spot for HHR to build a sandbag and other defenses.

04.jpg

05.jpg

Lines of sandbag were deployed, and an aqua-foam dispenser was constructed to deal with any sudden flames.
It's almost night the colonists begins to haul the turrets and batteries from the main colony.

06.jpg

Jaesun lights the flame.

07.jpg

Just as they were ready to start shooting at the wall...another cargo pod crashed.

08.jpg

09.jpg

A small stack of devilstrand. Kek.
Batteries and turrets in position. HHR was told to flick the switches.

10.jpg

And the order to fire at the wall till it breaks was given.

11.jpg

12.jpg

The wall is about to crack... the colonists held their breath...

13.jpg

And exhaled as no hostiles emerges from the other side... HOOLEEEYYY SHIT THIS GAME LOL
The colonists begins to curse n swear at all that wasted effort of hauling so many goods and prep time.
But really it could've turned into a bloodbath. I was that tense.

14.jpg

I'm also not worried about the clean up work cause I'll hand it over to Turisas and let him deal with whatever are in those cryo pods. :smug:

We're on easy street!

Also holy crap that cuck rifle, that's just wrong man.
Don't blame me . it was all auto-generated by the colony's memories.
So yeah, show us what you really think, Kalin

The ancient crypt has some juicy stuff in it, especially Luciferium which is the bestest drug there is. It's a death sentence if you don't have a regular supply of it available, and since RK has pissed off the only faction that occasionally has it for sale - apart from random orbital trade fleets - we'll just stash it for now. Kalin licks his lips in anticipation. We let the caskets be for now; there's a few ways it can generally go - either they're dead, hostile or friendlies. In the latter two instances we'll generally want to capture them if we can, but since there's no knowing how many people there are still alive in those damn things, they're best saved for later. It's not like they're going anywhere, after all.

desktop02.18.2017-19.3oude.jpg

Nothing manlier than growing some cute lilies.

desktop02.18.2017-19.j8um8.jpg

Our cloth cup runneth over; it's not a very good material for clothing so guess we gotta get into carpeting soon.

desktop02.18.2017-19.9dui6.jpg

Taskmaster RK has deemed it fit to plop down the multi-analyzer right in the middle of the room, sod to that - not when there's perfectly good stone wall to carve a hole into.

desktop02.18.2017-19.ymue3.jpg

The only victim of RK's carefully planned night raiding is the turkey, with its neck shot off by sniper fire. Into the stew it goes.

desktop02.18.2017-19.txu7z.jpg

Kalin's feeling rather down, so we make him work the fields since that's his most favorite thing in the whole world.

desktop02.18.2017-19.5tuge.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-19.1ju4n.jpg

Autodoors would be nice, but since we got all that cloth, we'll go for carpetry first so we can spruce up the ol' kodex reichsbunker a bit.

desktop02.18.2017-19.gnuvz.jpg

Tons of wood as well, not much else to use it on apart from sculptures.

desktop02.18.2017-19.34urd.jpg

Kalin finally starts to snap and decides to wander around aimlessly. As far as these minor breaks go, this isn't that bad (unless you live in the frozen wastes or some such), but it's still annoying since you can't control the kolonist at all while it happens.

desktop02.18.2017-19.34uq1.jpg

Another cargo pod drops. Who the hell keeps losing these?

desktop02.18.2017-19.rvu81.jpg

~Qwinn turns out to be as good an artisté as she is a modder.

desktop02.18.2017-19.9aus4.jpg

Scrooge hauls the coveted superdrug as far away as possible from Kalin's grubby palms.

desktop02.18.2017-19.89uju.jpg

Speaking of, he's still moping about after wandering around the entire night. Too much feels to even eat the delicious milk corn.

desktop02.18.2017-20.snul5.jpg

Doge training progresses, having animals that haul for you will free up the kolonists for more productive tasks. Unlike humanoids, you can't order them to haul anything specific, but they'll get it done eventually.

desktop02.18.2017-20.c5us6.jpg

Kalin finally snaps out of it, and is in a super shitty mood. Alas, he's probably too passive-aggressive to go into a proper berserker rage.

desktop02.18.2017-20.qvuyc.jpg

Bear cubs soon, aww yiss! Gestation periods and amount of offspring varies per each animal, and sadly we'll only get one little cub after a relatively long pregnancy. But should the need arise, we can use Scrooge's animal whisperer skills to get some more female bears.

HHR dutifully carries out his machinery scavenging duties, and returns with a decent haul of the good stuff.

desktop02.18.2017-20.kruxu.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-20.mcun6.jpg

Kalin's already feeling better after eating some milk corn, but I think he deserves a little reward.

desktop02.18.2017-20.qauvj.jpg

Our first batch of hypnoid leaves is about to mature, which means it's time to make some o' that sweet, sweet crack cocaine. Flake is something you don't really wanna huff and puff yourself so it's strictly for selling, but the more refined yayo made out of the same leaves can be a handy thing to have.

desktop02.18.2017-20.2xudj.jpg

It's high time we expand the base some, since we're still lacking a proper medical bay and prison facilities.

desktop02.18.2017-20.bluzm.jpg

Hospital beds will improve healing rate as well as doctoring and surgical operations - a good thing to have both for saving your kolonists and butchering your prisoners.

desktop02.18.2017-20.cbu7e.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-20.5suff.jpg

With the carpeting tech researched, HHR finally figures out how to drop some cloth on the floor. We put a glorious honored symbol from ancient Earth right in front of Kalin's room so he can be inspired every morning.

desktop02.18.2017-20.02u4f.jpg

Everyone's raving about the delicious milk corn, such excellent stuff.

desktop02.18.2017-20.zvuig.jpg

First harvest of psychoid is finally done and Kalin's first on the scene rushing for some.

desktop02.18.2017-21.9luyp.jpg

Autodoors get installed into the most often-used doors; currently you need to tear down the old door and rebuild it from scratch with the automatic opening functionality rather than just upgrading the existing door, but at least it gives us an excuse to upgrade from steel to granite.

desktop02.18.2017-21.y9uuy.jpg

The vitals monitor would improve the hospital bed's effectiveness even further, but we need the analyzer thingamajic to unlock it. No biggie, it's not like we have the medbay yet, anyway.

desktop02.18.2017-21.x7ut4.jpg

desktop02.18.2017-21.ozua4.jpg

Bradylama's mushy corpse is dug out since we can't have a grave within base proper. HHR dumps it northside to deter any would-be gawddam sumbitch mexican tribal bully.

desktop02.18.2017-21.cbul6.jpg

Another trader appears on orbit, and he has a lot of good stuff that we want. Glitterworld medicine is supremely useful - it practically guarantees success on difficult medical operations like surgery. It cannot be crafted, only bought from traders such as this so we buy the whole lot. We also get a bunch of neutroamine which is the precursor to pretty much all the advanced drugs and medicines. And most importantly, we have just enough silver to buy the gold and plasteel needed to finally build the multi-analyzer.

desktop02.18.2017-21.nkutt.jpg

Kalin experiences another hissy fit, and decides to go for the Big Smoke. But the rest of the kolonists are cruel and quickly move the cigs to the selling area and they all get sold to the trader up in the sky. Kalin weeps quietly, and is again left to wander around aimlessly.
