Things don't look good. Usually when you get a distress call from a ship it dies about 5 seconds later.

Lucky for me the Graltha rammed itself into the Tiger's Claw in such a manner as to blow itself up without blowing up the Tiger's Claw. I am absolutely amazed I did not wind up having to do this mission over.

At least not for another 30 seconds or so. My wingman somehow got killed without me noticing. Then I went after a lumbari while chased by a bunch of salthi, and without any good shields they easily cut me to pieces.

Ok, back after the lumbari. As far as I can tell, the lumbari are just there to be random things to kill. The dorkir are always mission objectives so if you miss them it's game over.

Once the lumbari was toast we took out 4-5 salthi escorts who futily tried to protect him.

After that comes the mission objective, which is an anticlimax after all the early panic.

I make DAMN sure to get the Dorkir first. Otherwise he will run away and you are screwed. Especially since it takes forever to kill escorts in a Hornet.

The krants are kind of like the salthi but they have more missiles and are way more durable, making them a pain to take out in a light fighter.

Flying in Raptors again, that's what I'm talking about! It's amazing how much easier this mission was compared to using a Hornet as a strike fighter and fleet defense force.

Once again there were fighters everywhere but this time it was a lot easier. Of course Angel almost blew up the Tiger's Claw with her overpowered guns by continually missing a target. Thankfully 3 bursts is all it takes to down a fighter when you have a Raptor.

For all the buildup, this mission was a piece of cake. The only real issue is you need to blast the fighters quickly enough, but my shooting is good enough now that this was no contest.

I escorted both the draymen and the only real difficulty I had was that Angel kept going crazy and ramming me for some reason. I was a little worried this bug would kill me but everything turned out OK.

TC is already feeling the pinch. I don't have any idea what the carrier uses for fuel, but hopefully we have enough spare parts and go juice to last a while.

Scimitars are actually not too bad. They are good for ramming and if your gunnery is good then they can do a ton of damage. Their handling is pretty crap, though, and there's no indicators for the front or rear armor and they are SLOW. Great for taking down heavy fighters, though.
