It is standard cyberpunk fare, but it's done way more professionally than a random dude from Deviantart.

Dayumn, that's some atmospheric concept art! That's some real cyperpunk shit right there.

I wonder how they make these images? A combination of computer painting on a Cintiq tablet, and heavy processing in Photoshop? How much do these artists get paid per image? It seems like that's a month of work per image..

More like a week.

It's called Mattepainting, and it's a combination of Photoshop drawing, background photos (painted over), and sometimes 3D art rendered into 2D images (and then painted over again).

The concept art of Paris looks pretty good, but concept art nearly always looks nicer than the result. Plus, it doesn't really tell anything about the game yet.

The game does have Ass Creed and Watch Dogs traits, but that's no wonder since ex-Ubisoft devs are working on it.
I was going to say, this looks exactly like an Ubisoft game.

Definitely has some promise. Hard to say based on the gameplay video, could be super scripted and linear, could be quite open and interesting. I will say the focus on veriticality and platforming in level design is quite nice, though. Why are developers only now re-learning how to do this kind of thing?

Super scripted and linear looks very likely from the videos. At least the tone differs between both videos.

Visual porn. This seems to be a mediocre game in the vein of Mars: War Logs.

That's more copyright than copyleft :rpgcodex:

EDIT: What kind of game is this? Hadn't seen it before. Mass Effect meets Dishonored meets Tomb Raider?

That's how overpowering the taint of liking the new Tomb Raider is -- you cannot wash it off.

Yep, hardly sexualized at all...
You have to consider the actual industry standards, which are somewhere below shonen manga. This is pretty tame compared to that. I mean, what are those, B-cups?
