Well, that is one use for the book I guess. Not sure if we find a better one.

Let's take a few of the priests with us. Sure, they are likely to die given all the stuff that might happen, but they knew the risks when they agreed to this suicide mission, and that way we won't have to be alone down there. Plus, if worse turns to worst, we will still have half of them waiting for us on the surface.

This is what we took them for, right? To cover our back so we would not have to do this all by ourselves.

And for a change, another tie.

3 votes for 2 - B, go in with half of the priests assuming the writing on how all living beings who cross the door will end is not literal, and 3 votes for 3 - D, Angartýr goes inside while dead, assuming anyone alive, Angartýr included, who crosses that door of the Temple to IA will end in a fate worse than death.

So, what will it be?

What is the reason behind dropping supplies to the chasm? To have the trip into the abyss last for as long as possible? What is the plan if we decide not to - will we be going in completely without supplies? Why would we need more than we can carry, anyway?

I see no problem with risking the lives or souls of the priests. Should have done so in the first place. All we achieved by dying is losing our guides. But if we want to be consistent and if we don't consider our previous decision a mistake, we should go in alone.

Then again, if we don't take the priests with us, they are likely to die in the desert without any guides to lead them out of it. And we will not be retrurning the same way, so waiting for us is pointless. Might as well take everyone.

A) Yes, bring all of them in, hoping they won't end worse than dead as soon as they cross the passage towards the temple.
Why not have one of them cross the passage and see what happens to him?

No idea about Kitab Al-Azif.

Any supplies left behind will be wasted, and there is no way to be sure whether such journey underground will take hours, days or weeks. The options on supplies are irrelevant if most vote for abandoning the search for the artifact and trying to find the way out of the desert instead. And these supplies also include ammunition, a precious supply, specially considering where they might be heading to.

Obviously, if something nasty happens only one of the priests will be harmed by it, and then Angartýr will have to descend on his own regardless of the choice here about how many war priests should descend with him.

Have you ever seen the 'Dex abandoning an idea, no matter how reckless or foolish?

If we start something, anything, we commit to it.

Get all of the supplies, get all the warriors, get the book, and march into the unknown. :salute:

AAA.

Edit: flopped.

Upon reflection, I agree. Fuck that book. It is a typical Schmuck bait.

It has already seen more use than I could have hoped it would. Flopping to AAB.

Cassidy, I just spent two whole days reading this.

What a fucking masterpiece.

I will write a much longer letter later.
