Surreal Beliefs has done amazing LPs of Total War games and mods, as well as other strategy games such as Sins of a Solar Empire. Commentary makes me chuckle.

Wiz has done a very good paradox LP, taking his country from crusader kings through EU3, Victoria Revolutions and HOI2. Very satisfying, especially the Victoria and HOI2 wars.

Another famous paradox LP, PrawnStar takes the Golden Horde in Eu3 In Nomine and conquers the world. Without changing from tribal government. He had millions and millions of rebels by the game's end.

Cassidy, is there a way to make the aliens invade in Darkest Hour?

My game of Kaisrreich as the reforged Qing Empire is fucking banal shit boring because the AI can't into naval invasions and my navy is shit.

Same with my Austria game, except I managed to reunite Italy but the fucking AI can't take Britain.

Is there any way to fix this?

"Oh this fucking shit is so fucking shit its fucking shit".
Yeah...what an assclown.

Same thing. Man just doesnt know how to make a sentence without half a dozen swear words. Oh, but he WILL get enraged if you use bad words when speaking to him. Undereducated USians, whatcha gonna do, eh ?

My Name is not Lilly
Well, this one doesnt swear at all. Instead he is borderline retarded. Honestly, the way he stumbles in Fallout, you'd think he checks if his head didnt fall off every morning.

it's such a pity that he's gone now.
Good riddance.

Who would i recommend on youtube, hmm...ChristoferOdd has a decent commentary on his LPs, with the exception of one particular video-editing quirk he favors that is slightly annoying. Hercrabbiness & Lateblt have a great LP of Quest for Glory 4, with pretty decent amateur voiceacting, actually, thoroughly enjoyed that one. LeadingmanAE has a decent collection of Legacy of Kain series LPs. Splitableinfinitive is consistently entertaining.

As far as I know, MynameisnotLilly's Fallout LP was blind, so that would explain why he's not that good at the game.

For me it wasn't as much the skill as it was someone with int score of 4-5 making a char with int 10 sci 100ish and then trying to roleplay that character like a ignorant tribal, he was just so untolerably stupid in his logic. That was in Fallout 2 though, didn't bother with first one. Also wasn't he the dude who took like 1k videos to finish BG2 or something along those lines?

edit: ok checked his channel and it was only 844 videos for BG2+ToB

About grimith and swearing, ever since the army I don't even notice swear words much, they just blend into the speech, and he does play some pretty good games, especially his earlier stuff, currently he's doing the games that some people that gave him money picked out or something. His King of the Dragon Pass was fun(the first one)

Someone named Nakar did a long interconnected Let's Play on Ultimas 4-7 and Martian Dreams. It was an entertaining enough read, and there were a few places that had me laughing out loud, which I hardly ever do when reading comedy. His methodical murdering of Chuckles was one particular highlight.

Spoony's coverage of the Ultima series has also been recommended by fans here, and I agree it's worth a look.

Is there anywhere else that does the Barbarian or Curufinwe style national-level CYOAs? Those are a lot of fun to read, but I haven't found anything like that besides the Playground.

I'm surprised Travis Whitsitt hasn't been mentioned yet. That man is one of the most patient LPers and he's a compulsory completionist. Most recommended are his Ghost LPs of the Thief series and his pure psi Impossible LP of System Shock 2.

Well there was this one page with LP's, no videos that I remember. Just plugging it maybe someone will actually remember it.

I think most if not all games were 90's console stuff. LP's consisted of a shitload of text with heavy swearing and a bunch of screenshots sometimes tons.

Oh yeah I remember some excellent 7th Saga LP there.

EDIT: oh there we go. Thanks jewgle.
