Yeah, the good ones involve more than damage spam. They also ya know, have meaningful character building and actual permadeath, not you lose a generic interchangable unit.

none of those are party based, you dumb piece of shit. adom has the most fucked up controls. dcss ist like the best rogue like out there. compared to dcss, your whole remaining list is a collection of crap, so what's your point when you compare it to darkest dungeon? + sanctuary rpg is not a rogue like. it's a story RPG. and tome? tome is the biggest damage spam rogue like out there and it has fucking cooldowns ffs. do you even realize the extent of your retardation?

There is no party based Roguelike, dumbfuck. Permadeath of generic units is not Roguelike. And you didn't say party based, you said roguelikes. So take my ego swelled dick and blow it, bitch. :D

as you can see i did make a point of it being party based during this abomination of a conversation. furthermore, i'm sure a roguelike is a game with roguelike elements. same as an rpg is a game with rpg elements. some of these elements overlap to the extent that almost every roguelike is also an rpg but not vice versa. some of the elements of a roguelike and/or rpg are:
- permadeath, regardless of how generic your character or characters are. (rpg and core roguelike element) *check*
- procedurally generated content. (core roguelike element) *check*
- party (rpg element and roguelike element) *check*
- character evolution (core rpg and core roguelike element) *check*
- enemies (core rpg and core roguelike element) *check*
- equipable loot (core rpg and core rogulike element) *check*
as you can see, darkest dungeon has all these elements thus it is a roguelike and an RPG. your argument with the "generic" units is invalid cause of character evolution (character levels, equipable loot, mutations as in diseases and mental diseases and positive quirks)

and yes there are party based roguelikes. darkest dungeon is one of them. heroes of a broken land is another, battle brothers is yet another.

Roguelite =/= Roguelike.

Also, it has no Roguelike or Roguelite elements.
