If anyone was curious to see more of how the forthcoming Langrisser I and II remake would look like (I believe this hasn't been posted here yet):

Saga Re;Universe just looks like another Imperial Saga to me. A garbage mobage mashup with heroes from previous SaGa entries. Doesn't look like anything truly new to me.

It's just a cash-grab for larger projects in the SaGa series. I'd bet money Kawazu's big dream is to give SaGa Frontier the RS1: Minstrel Song treatment.

What the fuck is up with all those autists crying about physical release in the comments? What year is this?

they probably own a switch and thus are stuck with tiny-ass storage space
They've been bitching about it since well before the Switch was a thing. Not sure why anyone gives a fuck though. Seems an utterly retarded conversation on either side.

Daisenryaku Perfect 4.0, a new game from the long-running military wargame series, is released on Steam with English localization:

dsp4_00.JPG

Daisenryaku is a full-scale, turn-based, single player strategic simulation game.
Up to 8 factions compete against each other on large hex maps.
The game features more than 300 maps, with more than 50 terrain types, from oceans to deserts, forests and cities. These include classics, such as tanks and fighter aircraft, but also more unorthodox options like electronic warfare airplanes and nuclear submarines.
The amount of possible strategies is near limitless. Bring in your units from the seas, attack from the sky, build roads and take the ground - the choice is all yours.

Gameplay
Battles take place on massive, hex-based maps. Plan your turns carefully to overcome your opponents. Each turn consists of 6 phases: "Missile", "Income", "Supply", "Replenishment", "Action", and "Production".

State-of-the-Art Real World Weaponry!
Units represent real weapons and vehicles from all over the world, including over 70 of the latest real world ships, airplanes and other vehicles. For example, the "Asahi"-class destroyer was just launched in March 2018 and is already playable. In total there are over 1520 different units!

Multiple Editors
Players can edit maps, units, production rosters and game rulesto turn the game into an original experience for themselves.
・Use the Map Editor to build your own maps.
・Create original units with the Unit Editor.
・Assemble your favorite units in the Production Roster Editor.
・The Rule Editor lets you set the conditions for your next battle.
With all these editors, the amounts of possible content are sheer endless!

One of the first projects from Too Kyo Games (a new studio led by Danganronpa and Zero Escape creators) is Deathmatch Club, action game about 12 years-old children killing each other. It will be first released on PC in 2020: https://gematsu.com/2018/10/too-kyo...e-action-adventure-death-game-deathmatch-club

Too Kyo Games, Grounding, and Izanagi Games announce action adventure death game Deathmatch Club

The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals Deathmatch Club, one of the four projects in production at the recently established Too Kyo Games. It is being developed in collaboration with Grounding for release on PC by publisher Izanagi Games in 2020.

Described as a controversial work where a death game unfold between 12 yeaer-old elementary school students, the game is divided into action and adventure parts. Players will control a young boy named Reicho and solve puzzles while clearing stages.

Here is the game’s development staff:
  • Creative Director: Kazutaka Kodaka
  • Scenario and Director: Kotaro Uchikoshi
  • Director: Takumi Nakazawa
  • Character Design: Take
  • Art Director: Kentarou Yoshida
  • Producer: Shinsuke Umeda
  • Development Director: Yukio Futatsugi
  • Developer: Too Kyo Games and Grounding

Too bad for Kodaka and Uchikoshi but there's already a game about children killing each other, the super popular one.

D3 Publisher wants to release Dream Club Zero for PS4 and PC in the west
Will the Dream Club series finally make it out in English?

D3 Publisher wants to release Dream Club Zero, the prequel entry in the Dream Club dating simulation series, for PlayStation 4 and PC in the west.
Speaking to DualShockers at Tokyo Game Show 2018 in September, D3 Publisher executive producer Nobuyuki Okajima said that the company might consider releasing some of its older games in North America and Europe. Okajima mentioned that he would consider bringing Dream Club Zero west for PlayStation 4 and PC, but is not sure whether a western release would be possible without issues.

Okajima said the same for Happy Manager on PlayStation 4. While he would like to release it in the west, there were “a few issues with the game” that even made a Japanese release difficult. However, after being told about Steam’s recent policies that would permit its release, Okajima said he would consider bringing it out for PC.

Dream Club Zero was first released for Xbox 360 in Japan in January 2011, followed by PS Vita as Dream Club Zero Portable in December 2011, and PlayStation 3 as Dream Club Zero: Special Edipyon! in January 2013. Happy Manager was released for PlayStation 4 in January 2018.
All manner of degenerate shit will appear on Steam now...

From what I remember DC was pretty worksafe though? Definitely more than stuff like Senran Kagura.

Resonance of Fate 4K / HD Edition for PC high-res textures to be released as free DLC
Game size totals 83 gigabytes with the texture pack installed.

The high-resolution textures for the PC version of Resonance of Fate 4K / HD Edition will be released as free downloadable content called the “High Resolution Texture Pack,” developer tri-Ace announced.
tri-Ace explained that since the PC version originally required about 83 gigabytes of space, releasing the high-resolution textures separately allowed them to reduce the space required to play to only 16 gigabytes.

Atelier Lulua: The Alchemist of Arland 4 announced for PS4, Switch
Take on the role of Rorona's daughter.

Following a teaser earlier today, leaks from the latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveal Atelier Rurua: The Alchemist of Arland 4 for PlayStation 4 and Switch. It will launch in 2019 in Japan for 7,800 yen. A 10,800 yen limited edition will also be available. Pre-orders will open on October 25 in Japan. Character designs are by Mel Kishida.

The protagonist is Elmeluria Frixell, the daughter of Ateler Rorona: The Alchemist of Arland protagonist Rorona. Her voice actor is currently unannounced. She has long hair adorned with a heart symbol. Her clothes appear to be hand-me-downs from Rorona. She is a studious girl and reckless type who, studying under her master to become an alchemist like her mother, picks up a certain book.

Elmeluria’s childhood friend is Eva Armster. Her voice actor is also unannounced. She is a proper girl who works at a nursery school. While she has a quiet personality, she is a tough fighter in battle, seemingly using a bazooka or Gatling gun.

The game uses the synthesis, exploration, and battle elements of the Arland series as its base. New systems based on elements that gained popularity through the Mysterious sub-series of Atelier games will also appear. Synthesis will be both classic and new.

The world features an even bigger Arland Republic where Arls has been annexed. It also seems that Rorona is somewhere far away from here.

Cool that the Arland trilogy is getting a Steam release. Not sure what to think about the 4th Arland game tho. Seems like the Atelier games haven't been selling well enough since the Arland trilogy and so they are doing a misguided attempt at boosting the sales by going back to that fan favorite setting, completely ignoring the fact that the recent entries failed due to technical problems and overall less inspired game design (although I liked Firis a lot).

Sophie sold quite well but it was lame and then Firis was retarded, and so that was the end of that
