Seems like we might have the Tales of series on PC: http://operationrainfall.com/2015/05/07/tales-of-symphonia-pc-rated-esrb/

An update to the Tales of Symphonia ESRB page now includes the Windows PC as one of the platforms that the game is available on. This follows a now-altered listing on the Steam database of a possible PC release of the newest entry in the series, Tales of Zestria.

Please release Tales of Abyss for the PC, I will personally hijack the Codex's voting and make it GOTY just to see the butthurt. :3

Old info, M8.

http://nichegamer.com/2015/05/tales-of-symphonia-is-rated-for-pc-by-the-esrb/

"The ESRB listing is for an old rating, from Namco Hometek Inc., and not Namco Bandai Games America (like the newer ratings they’ve received). This was an oversight on my part and I’ll ensure this does not happen again here at Niche Gamer."

I personally didn't care for the game (first played the HD version). The gameplay felt dated as heck and I cannot for the life of me get past the first 3 hours without passing out from boredom.

On that note, GameArts are doing a survey to gauge interest in possible PC ports of their games like Grandia, Lunar and Ragnarok Odyssey:

Gonna fill it in now.

In regards to this

http://www.gamespot.com/articles/acclaimed-dreamcast-rpg-grandia-ii-coming-to-steam/1100-6427252/

After collecting "enthusiastic feedback" from a survey launched in April, GungHo Online Entertainment America will bring classic role-playing game Grandia II to Steam for Windows PC, the company told GameSpot today.

Grandia II for Steam is being remastered using the game's Dreamcast version, which was published in 2000. In addition to an HD visual upgrade, Grandia II on Steam will have both mouse and keyboard and gamepad support as well as Steam achievements and Trading Cards.

I hope they port the rest of their catalog as well rather than just Grandia II because it already had an existing PC port to work with.

Agreed, though I'm not surprised they started with the easiest option to test the waters. Hopefully the rest will follow.

It's a smart move, game journos love Grandia 2, the hype they'll do will be enough to sell a good number of copies and guarantee more ports.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
I just want to play the third game. While the story and characters are piss poor, the combat is great.

7th Dragon developer Imagepooch files for bankruptcy (after its CEO went missing earlier)

While there still hasn’t been any word on the disappearance of Imageepoch CEO Ryoei Mikage, it’s been revealed that the company, alongside their affiliate company Smile Online Games, filed for bankruptcy earlier this month, according to a report from corporate research provider Teikoku Databank, Ltd.

The report indicates that Imageepoch and Smile Online Games began bankruptcy procedures on May 7th at the Tokyo District Court. The case will be administrated by a lawyer named Tsuyoshi Nakano. The two companies will have until June 4th to report their credit, and are scheduled to have a property advisory meeting on July 30th at 10am JPT.

Since its founding as a development company in 2004, Imageepoch have produced titles such as Time and Eternity, 7th Dragon, Black Rock Shooter: The Game, and more. The developers boasted a 1.7 billion yen of profit, which was revealed during their annual income back in September 2011.

In two years, the company saw a significant drop in profits, as the annual income figure dropped down to 400 million yen by September 2013, largely due to problems regarding high development costs and sales not going as expected.

Without being able to make a recovery, Imageepoch have stopped a substantial amount of their activities. At the moment, Teikoku Databank reports that Imageepoch are in a debt of around 1.1 billion yen that is owed to about 43 different creditors. Meanwhile, affiliate company Smile Online Games is in debt of 3 million yen owed to five creditors. Together, they’re in a debt of 1.103 billion yen between the two companies.

While this isn’t a confirmation by any means, it’s safe to assume that Imageepoch’s vast debt has something to do with the company CEO Ryoei Mikage’s sudden disappearance. You can read more about that in our earlier report.

Flame Over is a PS Vita twin stick shooter meets roguelike coming to Steam on May 28th:

Hi everyone. If you’ve been looking forward to Laughing Jackal’s amazing firefighting action roguelike, Flame Over, I’m delighted to be able to tell you that it will be coming to Steam on the 28th May priced at $11.99. Not only that but anyone who pre-orders the game from when the pre-order period starts on the 14th May until the game’s release on the 28th will get a massive 40% discount. That results in a bargain price of $7.19.

Since the launch of the Vita version of Flame Over, and after reading all the great feedback on it, the LJ team has been hard at work improving the game, and has added the following new features:

  • Keyboard & Mouse support (of course! :))
  • Control mapping
  • You can now find Blaze’s ghost on the level he died, allowing you to regain cash and powerups.
  • A host of secrets, rare rooms & easter eggs, to ensure that no play through is the same.
  • A handy Fire Drill & Tutorial system, so it doesn’t seem like you’ve been dropped into a burning building. :)
We’ve also reworked the wall of fire hazard, which will now set light to everything in its path and – mercifully – won’t instakill NPCs.

Flame Over is a fire fighting action game with randomly generated levels, blending Twin Stick Shooter and Roguelike design principles.

A Real Fire Fighting Experience

Flame Over features a dynamic fire system that burns and spreads according to the materials found in each randomly generated level. Watch fires spread according to the materials available, attacking your fire fighter and generating dangerous hazards across 4 game zones.

AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead & Undressed launches on Steam May 26th for $29.99, €26.99, or £19.99 w/ a 10% discount 1st week!

We once said that AKIBA'S TRIP supported only 1080p & 720p, but ACQUIRE took fan feedback seriously, so it now supports 19 resolutions. YAY

The PC version uses the PS4 version's enhanced graphics & also includes its "Visual Editor" mode, so go nuts customizing Akihabara's look.

Apparently Nippon Icchi is also looking to release their games on Steam: http://www.hardcoregamer.com/2015/0...-64-of-nippon-ichis-revenue-last-year/149056/

Nippon Ichi will focus on Steam and mobile support, The Witch and the Hundred Knight’s PS4 release and (unsurprisingly) strengthening their relationship with NISA in the upcoming year.

得意分野であるコンシューマ事業は従来通り継続しつつ、リスクヘッジとして海外ユーザーからのニーズが高まってきておりますSTEAMへのタイトル供給を開始いたします。

Hopefully that would mean actually releasing some Disgaea games on pc, not just games of other even smaller companies.

It also teases the Seaweed costume for Kanji.
