Anyways, i picked up my PS4 Pro yesterday, and pretty surprised by the build quality and overall experience, played a bit of Uncharted 4, Killzone, Witcher 3 GOTY and Mafia 3.

Oh and by the way, it's the same kind of scam as with the 3DS' 3D, but I don't think anyone sane bought the 3DS for the 3D. It was just Nintendo's gimmick. Sony tries to be dead serious about 4K though.

The console is good value for anyone thinking about getting a PS4, there's no reason to buying vanilla now as for an extra 100€ you get double the HD space, double the GPU power, significantly more processing power and extra RAM.

For 400 euros it's more than worth it for people who enjoy console gaming.

If anyone got a normal ps4, ps4 pro is simply not worth it unless he is filthy rich and got nothing better to do with his life.

If someone doesn't have a console at all and was thinking of buying one, then yes ps4 pro by all means.

PS4 is nice since it has some weeaboo games not coming out in any other platform. It also shares some weeaboo games with PS Vita, but here you can play on a big screen. That's from my point of view, of course. But it's not limited to that, you also have plenty other genres as well as some epic fails.

Don't forget about the PS4 Slim, that replaces the old vanilla PS4. I guess you can get by with it and play the whole library. True that some games will run better on Pro, but it's not the end of the world.

All of that notwithstanding that the 4K advertising is deliberately misleading, that's what we were dicussing here.

It's still to early for 4k the graphics cards are not powerfull enough and ps4 pro doesn't even have the most powerfull gpu, PS 5 will be native 4k and by that time you will be able to buy a 4k monitor for a normal price

That's the matter, to put the PS4 Pro to full use you have to spend extra on a new TV, if you're not willing to pay you're not fully using it... anyway we know it's not full-on support, if it was every game would support it, which is also not convenient since it's extra work for the devs.

It's too early for this technology, but Sony is advertising it as a novelty and we still have to see how much support it gets, from the people and from the devs. They're too eager to surpass Microsoft.

DF ran a couple of articles recently listing some games that run worse on the PS4 Pro compared to the regular PS4 on 1080p, because the Pro is downscaling from a higher resolution. They cited Skyrim and The Last of Us as examples.

4K is very quickly taking over the market in which case Sony and Microsoft have both been forced to create a product that supports 4K, that is why the pro exists.

In far future expect to be running 50k resolution at 300fps on a tablet.

You do know that what pushes graphical quality further is not only resolution but polygon count which makes everything look more natural.
