I would probably have gotten it out of morbid curiosity if not for:

1) Origin, which I refuse to install.
2) DA2 being so arse I'd notremovefrominventory before buying, but crackers taking their time with the new DRM
3) The excellent LP by RK47 showing me just how arse it is
4) Warmachine Tactics, Elite Dangerous, MTG Online, LoG2 and CoH2 taking up all my gaming time.

5) None of the biowaifus appeal to me :codexisfor:

PC RPG Website of the Year, 2015 Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Serpent in the Staglands Bubbles In Memoria A Beautifully Desolate Campaign Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
This heartrending post by Pope Amole II convinced me to finally create this poll:

We are well and truly fucked because, despite shitting all over the Bioware for the last 5 or so years (or, better phrased - for as long as I can remember here), half of the codex still buys this shit, thus supporting the Bioware financially. I mean, I'm sure at least a hundred people here bought this. And yeah, you can argue that bioware will still grab millions so they don't give a fuck if they lose here, but it's not about them loosing - it's about you not supporting the indies with the very those money.

At least a hundred, eh? Let's see if that's true.

Poll is anonymous, so buyers need not feel ashamed.

It's an obvious ploy to the Codex starting its own inquisition. Don't be fooled!

I'm glad we're once again living in an age where we don't have to settle for sub-par rpgs due to lack of alternatives. We gobbled up DA: O because there was barely anything else worth playing at that time.
I dunno. I liked it more than Wasteland 2. Played through DA1 while I got bored of WL2 before leaving Arizona. Hell, even beat DA2 since even though it was far worse than WL2 it was providing me with more entertainment. Comically bad was more enjoyable then "Well I guess it's a videogame".

10.8% of all members means 1485 people/drogs bought it, problem is clearly far worse than the pope could have imagined

edit: 11.2% now :O

Will pirate out of spite when it's available.

CDPR is the only AAA studio that deserves my money.

I'm always amazed by statements like this. Whoever is in charge of their marketing really fucking deserves a raise.

I am not so sure, W2 tanked on X360. I have an impression, that their antagonising marketing caused an opposite reaction among butthurt Beth and Bio consoletard fanboys and probably was a net loss. Both parties are sheeples anyway.

Even though my main reason for not buying it was my not yet upgraded shitty computer, Bioware had already gambled away any hype-credit they had with their failure to deliver in two games: Dragon Turd 2 (a lazy quick shot for moneyz) and Mass Effect 3 (instead of giving players what they want, they forced some misguided artsy vision on them).
Consulting the Kritikal Kodex Konsensus did the rest.
So it became a big NO.
And since this was supposed to be Bioware's one shot to redeem themselves, it is also a big NO to future releases from me.

Let's hope I upgrade in time for the upcoming potato masterwork. :salute:

Bought it for PS4 due to lack of games mostly, I'm gonna sell it whenever I finish it. It doesn't seem that shitty honestly and I'm still in first area which is supposed to be boring (some quests are).

I like how this is half your rebuttal, like DA2 is some CRPG classic.

It would be if this were an argument about quality, however it's not. It's a discussion about whether or not DAI has action-combat (it doesn't). Tell me about an action game that allows you to issue orders while paused. The only one I can think of that comes closest is Divinity 2 and that was only applicable to special attacks.

 FFS Roguey, I know that talking out of your ass about games you haven't played is kind of your "thing", but until now it's never extended to blatantly denying what everybody can see with their own two eyes.

 so if I introduced the option to pause in God of War, it would suddenly go from being an action game to a tactical game?

When you have to go to such semantic nonsense to win, you may as well just give up, Roguey-san.

A bunch of posters said the same thing about DA2 and they were wrong there too. Action games being synonymous with "thing I don't like."

As wikipedia says
The action game is a video game genre that emphasizes physical challenges, including hand–eye coordination and reaction-time.

No one has done that and I doubt they'll ever. I don't deal in hypothetical situations.

They did? Where?

Also, please respond to my question. If you could issue a single command when pausing God of War, would it stop being an action game?

Call it what you want, it's still not "same old Dragon Age gameplay". You're just digging yourself deeper by insisting on this. I don't get it. *shrug*

Haven't bought it and currently have no plans to do so.
I found DA:O to be ok, but despite many good parts, I got bored by it towards the end.
DA2 went into a direction that didn't interest me much, either, so I never played it.
ME was similar in that regard - I considered ME1 to be ok to good (for what it was), with some interesting features, but instead of fixing those things I considered problematic and improving upon the good stuff, they developed the series in a different direction.
Which they have every right to do, its just that I lost interest in it along the way.

No I didn't purchase it. I don't own any of the Dragon Age games.

I'll agree that "same old" was incorrect. At the time I didn't know about the simplified tactics system or the dumb "hold button to auto-attack" decision and could have sworn they said that wouldn't be necessary in tactical-cam view (which turned out to be useless).
