Where the hell is the Aurelian outpost?

It's not listed on the map. Apparently it's no inside Teron too, has I have searched the town but couldn't find it. And I'm not allowed to travel outside of Teron.
So where the fuck is it?

The game needs more teleporting features :smug:

The constant need of adjusting camera is pretty normal for an isometric 3D game.

Is this how you play AoD?

    1) start game without using skill points
    2) fail check
    3) reload
    4) increase necessary skill points
    5) continue playing and continue from 2)

If not, then how do you play it?

I've tried playing it without cheesing, but it seems that sooner or latter you're struck with the fail hammer, and by fail hammer I mean really failing at the game, not being able to complete the "main" quest.
And of course that when you fail you're forced to use a different tactic, which will undoubtedly rely on some metagaming (namely a more adequate point distribution).

The game does allow you several ways to achieve goals, but not all routes (as derived from your stats) give you access to them, in fact it seems more like just a few work (by min maxing stats).

    About combat:
    - are axes the only way to defeat blocking NPCs?
    - and if you're a blocker how do you handle axe wielding NPCs?

Decide which skills your character should have, invest your points into these skills, and see what happens? I know it sounds crazy, but it just might work.

    Of course not.

Hope for the best, carry more shields, rely on armor?

People love to meta so much I'm starting to think it's a mistake to let people know whether they've failed or succeeded a speech check. Be especially amusing if you walk away from a conversation thinking you're a silver tongued genius but in reality you're going to get played down the line.

I really like that idea Executer. Adds to the butthurt factor when the guy override his save only to realize he messed up later.

If the failure leads to non-instadeath/interesting situations, a person won't even know he's been screwed until they see a guide or go on to a forum. VD already did things like that in the game, but even more of it/taking it further would be cool in future games (might also help cut down on meta, atleast on initial playthroughs).

Moments where you think you did well but later you find out you fucked up are always one of the most memorable in a game, ranking only behind the moments where you realize you were simply lied to (fuck you and your stupid rules, Ken Rolston).

They didn't seem very trustworty in the game really. But again I opened the box in my first attempt so I'm no one to talk (I didn't wan't to, but the malkavian dialogue wasn't easy to understand).

OFFTOPIC: Actually, this is the thing that I really loved about choosing to side with shadow thieves in NWN2. You'd have an opportunity to use those speech skills against the main dude in Neverwinter. But instead of seeing standard [success] or [failure], you'd see [?]. I had a mental orgasm because I loved this concept so frigging much, however those dialogues were non-consequential which made me a sad-face upon discovering.

Later, however, I had taken that idea up a notch when I was helping a friend of mine with his development of NWN2 module, I made a system for dialogues that would give you appropriate feedback, based on combination of Spot, Listen against NPC's Sleight of Hands and Bluff with d20 and some more randomness. Too bad the module never got past starting areas.
