Seeing his comrades wrestling the eel, Rhenmyr will wait to see if they lift it from the murk and give him a an opportunity for a clean attack.

Sorry for the delay between posts. My work has locked down a lot of sites behind their firewall, and it's tough to post from my phone when there's a lot of combat. Fortunately, I'm only in the office on Wednesday and Thursday.

Amon's Agony spell POW vs POW: 18 v. 15=65% [1d100] = 13
Amon finishes his spell and the giant eel thrashes about even more wildly (it is now helpless, so all attacks are at +50% for the duration of the spell (but still Half-skill if you dive under the water to stab at it with a short or medium length weapon. So halve the skill first, then apply the +50%).
Seeing his comrades wrestling the eel, Rhenmyr will wait to see if they lift it from the murk and give him a an opportunity for a clean attack.
Enough of the tail is thrashing about above water for you to get a stab with your spear, without penalty
Can I go back down underwater and shank the thing?
Absolutely. Just remember, fighting underwater halves your attack because you can't see. If you have a long thrusting weapon (greatsword, or polearm) you can attack without penalty.
Instead of the actions you listed, can Mab cast Animal Friendship on the eel?
You can certainly start casting a spell this round. It will manifest at the start of your next turn.

Borric, aside from noticing that the eel seems enraged and in extreme pain also senses that the giant eel is in very rough shape (i.e. he senses that the creature is fairly badly wounded).

Sword (89) vs [1d100] = 62

89/2 is like 44.5 plus 50% of that is like 65 or something. Good enough?

Falcata Damage [1d8+2] = 3+2 = 5 + [1d2] = 1 +[1d4] = 4

Marcan tries shanking the thing.
(89/2)+50=95%, but whatever, you succeeded!
Marcán stabs down hard with the point of his falcata. The hide is rubbery and thick, but the falcata bites deeply down to the bone, and a great fountain of black blood sprays backward into Marcán's face. The eel convulses violently, spasms a couple of times and finally goes still after a few more seconds. Borric plunges up through the opaque water and takes a great heaving breath, his body and face covered in rivulets of mud.

As everyone is collecting themselves and takes inventory of the situation, the corpse of the eel floats to the surface and its magnitude becomes apparent. at least 30 feet long, and 2 feet in diameter at it's widest point. Its grotesque jaw is lined with fearsome looking bony-ridges and a pair of dagger-sharp fangs that drip black poison.

Behind you, you can just make out a great commotion in the meadow, where you glimpse the half-dozen giants stomping down the plank road in hot pursuit of something.

"Well that was fun but we should probably run. Though those fangs could be useful as a makeshift dagger I suppose."

"Why didn't it put up more of a fight?" Rhenmyr checks the eel for injuries we didn't cause.
Nature(62): [1d100] = 17

"Maybe we should cut some chunks off of it to distract anything else that might come after us."
Rhenmyr notices how its lower mandible hangs limply and dislocated from its sockets and then looks over at Borric. You remind yourself to never get into a wrestling match with the burly Kurgan.

Rhenmyr resumes his point position traversing the marsh. With luck, the eel's corpse will any other predators away from their intended path.

The journey through the murky swamp is slow going. Fortunately, there are no more nasty surprises lurking in the water. After about what feels like 2 or 3 hours, you see a break in the trees ahead, where an elevated road transverses from west to east. With a bit of effort you pull yourselves up out of the slimy, smelly water and hike to the top of the road. The road on the dike, looks rutted and worn with wagon wheel tracks and the trees lean in on all sides forming a veritable tunnel that fades under the dim gloam of the shifting purples and greens of the sky overhead. To the 'west' (or your left as it were) a column of black smoke rises high into the sky several miles away, presumably from the direction of Lankshorn.

As you sit on the road gathering your wits, each of you notices a faint itching sensation on your body, you reach into your tunics and roll up the leg of your trousers and recoil in horror at the dozens of bright blue leeches that have silently affixed themselves to your body

Everyone needs to make a Stamina roll (CON x5)

Mab peels several leeches off of his body. the skin where they were attached is numb to the touch and ooze blood. Marcán and Rhenmyr find considerably more leeches and the wound where they were attached is puffy and purple.

Here's the deal. If you pass your Stamina roll, you suffer 1 HP of damage. If you fail your Stamina roll you suffer 2 points of CON damage today . . . and you have contracted a disease and will continue to lose CON per day until cured, the disease runs its course or you die.
HP damage from disease [1d3] = 2

"Lovely." Rhenmyr says plucking leeches. "Lets be moving on."

Stygian venom resistance any help against leech disease?

Thanks, man. I still get 1 Hp loss, or does the critical success waive that?
Yeah, still 1 hp, but immune to this disease from now on.
