At least he bothers with explaining his arguments and discussing them in a thought-out, civilized way.

Now, TheSentinel, he went from one of the biggest lovers of PoE to one of PoE2's craziest detractors.

The game isn't even out yet, and it has already claimed someone's sanity. Bodes well :D

Both of them are retarded

Meanwhile Sensuki is literally in prison for caving his mother's skull in with a ball point hammer for telling him to stop screaming and let me sleep about PoE...

?

A joke right?

If not details, please. IIRC he's the reason why I found this place and signed up.

One of these is useful for metalworking. The other is not.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
Friends/Domination, Identify, Detect Invisibility, Detect Traps, Knock, Power Word - Sleep, Clairvoyance, Detect Illusion/Oracle, Dispel Magic (actually dont remember if POE has this one), Haste/Improved Alacrity, Hold Person, Invisibility 10' Radius/Mislead/Mass Invisibility, Minor Sequencer/Spell Sequencer/Spell Trigger, Polymorph Other, Teleport Field, Wizard Eye, Contingency/Chain Contingency, Wish, Project Image/Simulacrum, Symbol - Death, Time Stop.

That doesn't mean they shouldn't exist. Yeah, some of them are borderline useless (detect evil lol), but they give flavor to magic and classes. Wizard Eye was useful as are the non-combat ones listed by TheSentinel.

Most of those are hardly non-combat though. Except the Friends, Wizard Eye and Wish. Also the Identify busywork, Detect Traps and Knock "rogue-in-your-pocket". Most are heavily combat-oriented, if not direct-damage/debuff.

Also quite a few actually exist in PoE. Domination (Cipher has several versions, including mass and bouncing), Power Word Sleep (Call to Slumber), Haste (Deleterous Alacrity of Motion, self only), Hold (both Wizard and Cipher, including aoe effects and separate paralysis effects), Project Image/Simulacrum (Wizard, limited spellcasting), Symbol Death (Ring of Death... well, functionally similar). Plus unique combat spell effects such as the Cipher rays, Pull of Eora or the Concelhaut's Crushing Doom hammer. Various summoned weapons with special effects.

Who still used the Identify spell by the time of BG2 anyways? You could buy identifying glasses from the Thieves' Guild contact!

Some of those do exist in PoE, but they're extremely gimped compared to their versions on BG2, to the point where they completely lose what was fun about them/their identity. For example, Alacrity in BG was a party-wide buff that also increased your movespeed. This doesn't exist in PoE.

Pirates of Eternity: Cuckfire will be the same shit as the first game

graphics and superficial BS (look there everybody! cloaks that react to wind! explosions! cute little apples on the table!) + accessibility for morans + populist design are meant to divert attention from the disastrous ruleset, shit combat, lore dumps and zero encounter design

Simply the lead (Josh) is a delusional hipster cuck who's team is consisted mostly of feminists, faggots and libtards.

POE is a populist RPG. Capitalizing off nostalgia, crowdfunding and isometric graphics. Its not niche and never will be good enough for RPG veterans.

The character models and equip look like 100 times better than poe

Not to mention the animations. They look like they're actually getting punched, in a very gentlemanly fight too.

Edit: man those skeletons are telegraphing their blows though, wouldn't last long in the ring

I hope the rape of (grognards with) Caribbean Pirates references will be tasteful. At least keep the pretence.

Wow. Is this a FPS? Third-person action? like any of that shit matters in a RPG :lol::lol: Whats next, parrot companion = GOTY? Pathetic that you are manipulated like animals by irrelevant BS which is posted every day on twitter

Again they put more effort in improving visual appearance and graphics than in fixing fundamentally broken core gameplay. The clueless sheeple were cucked by Josh so hard they cant even make that simple observation.

I'd believe you if the last 100 pages weren't about the same pointless garbage. By 2020 half of this forum will turn from a niche crowd into graphic whores

It's not exactly wrong to want your RPG's to look at least somewhat similar to the latest AAA game out there. There's a difference between looking nice and sacrificing features just to look sweet. Obsidian received lots of feedback regarding a lack of lots of 'immersive' animations and graphics from PoE1, and are actually addressing those concerns. I would hope they aren't going to reveal major plot points, dungeons, and features while developing the game. Ruins half the fun of the initial playthrough.

A company follows the market trends, and gets ripped to shreds. They listen to their fanbase and still get torn to ribbons. Can't win no matter what. I'm just curious to see if PoE2 is all just so Josh can make that historical RPG he keeps talking about. Someone with a mind like his couldn't possibly wreck history with agenda (be it actual or fantasy in the minds of overzealous Codexers).

Let me guess: You didn't play White March 1 & 2.
