does anyone know if the DLCs are included in ANY of the tiers? Furthermore, do you think the DLCs will be connected (e.g. White March)?

I'm making a bet right now, the sails textures will be easily moddable.

Lol they are really getting blatant about these "stretch goals" being already implemented :) Not that I'm complaining.

Can't wait for this :(. There's so few games I want to play these days, makes the wait extra hard. But then I'm a fanboy so what else would you expect.

Even though ship and everything looks great, some nitpicking:
- I feel the small circle around the ship on world map makes it feel a bit claustrophobic. You see very little of where you're going.
- the ship doesnt move, even in the scene with the big waves later on in the vid. Looks a bit weird.
- the sails also dont realy move at all, also looks a bit weird.
- I dont really like the landmass art on the worldmap, hope they make that a bit more interesting/detailed

Also wonder if the stewart of od nua moves with you to new ships you acquire and use.

If PoE2 would've had the travel mechanic of Arcanum (where you could literally walk between cities), I would've considered it more than just fluff.
Only then you could get wet at the thought of truly exploring an island.

Otherwise is just some glorified Fallout travel mode. But Fallout would generate a map location if the player wanted to stop anywhere on the map.
I doubt PoE2 will support that.
Maybe at least it would have new skills to enhance/support this "new" travel mechanics.

I'm not holding my breath for an expansion but hopefully they add some more islands to the world map and new quests that have their own ending slides. The White March slides being integrated into the ending of the main game was something I really liked.

The DLC model will supposedly be inspired by Fallout: New Vegas's. Are those expansions?

They mentioned when they did WM that the interest in proper expansions is very low (less than 15% main game owners IIRC). I'd myself be very sad even doing content which so few people will see, no wonder they're trying to mix it up.

Since Codexers and many others seem to prefer post-game content anyway, expansions are pointless. Make a same-engine "expandalone" that allows character import, that way you can sell it to people who don't own the base game too.

I'm actually kinda interested in them using the DLCs to tell some sort of short stories. I was thinking (after listening to Iron Maiden) of how well the poem "Rime of the Ancient Mariner" would fit for a small Deadfire adventure.

People buy more DLC than expansions? Sounds weird since they are mostly the same thing. I suppose expansions are more expensive?

People buy more of what comes out two months after a game's release than of what comes half a year or a year after its release, unless it's a big game with big marketing.

Shots fired why?

We already know you're going to sail from place to place in D:OS 2. Makes sense that you'd get to own your ship, although I would have thought a dual-scale overworld exploration map isn't Larian's style.
