Is there a bet yet on how long will it be before they start cautiously taking steps against the 'unlawful' modders outside of their Utopia of Pure Profit?

If it's a success it won't be long, I know near enough everyone's against this but I can see console players easily spending money on it.

Console mods was just affront to their main goal allowing paid mods. Console plebes are more likely to accept paid mods than glorious
pc gaming connoisseurs.

To give you example minecraft console version is already doing this and soon pc minecraft will do this as well. as long as you keep
buying the shit beth makes you will forever be mark as a consumerist pleb who allow big business to trample your rights and take
your hard earned dinero.
what rights?
My bad you don't have rights, according to the eula you just sold your soul for poor electronic entertainment.

It's simple. Bethesda pays modders. Doesn't matter how, when, how much. Just water a bit the field. It's really damn simple. Mods already sell games. They have made Skyrim relevant enough to get to the 7 top selling game of all time. They have made Doom. Made DSFix a competent PC Port. You pay for all that, you'll get diminishing returns at most.

While mods were a key part of Skyrim's massive success, it still would have been a blockbuster hit without a modding community.

Overall:
No user reviews
Release Date: Aug 24, 2017

People have to buy stuff to review I wonder how refunds work for in game credit purchased through steam eg GTA 5.

Found this:

Can safely skip the first ~5mins of creator's inane life story. What was he thinking?

Main point is okay, also heavily applies to "map filled with blinking FUN TIMES HERE quest/task icons" games (AC, Witcher 3, GTAs etc.) Though having to go so deep to be put off is weird, combat is most of the game and seems abhorrent.

It's back with official launch of Creation Club: http://steamcommunity.com/games/377160/announcements/detail/1448326045456809208

Fallout 4 Creation Club Now Live

a28b9507198ef2841636659edf62cd9a39946712.gif

Now there’s even more to see, more to do – and more ways to survive in Fallout 4. Creation Club is now in PC beta with a collection of new official content including Hellfire Power Armor, a Prototype Gauss Rifle, and Chinese Stealth Armor. You can even space out in a special suit inspired by Prey… or gallop through the Wasteland in Giddyup-Buttercup inspired Horse Armor.

For details on the Beta and the game's 1.10 udpate, head here:
https://bethesda.net/en/devnote/2yBIs6lDs0UM2IECYw0QEq/fallout-4-update-creation-club

Featuring new items, abilities and gameplay created by Bethesda Games Studios and outside development partners – including the best community creators – Creation Club content is fully curated and compatible with the main game, official add-ons, and achievements. Currently available for Fallout 4, Creation Club will be coming to Skyrim Special Edition next month. All Creation Club content works on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. And of course, Mods will remain a free and open system where anyone can create and share what they’d like.

To celebrate the launch of Creation Club, Bethesda is offering all players 100 Credits to apply to Creation Club content. Additional Credits are available on PSN, Xbox Live and Steam. Your Credits will be transferrable and can be used in both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition on the same platform for both Xbox Live and Steam. PSN does not support transferable credits between both games.

Here’s what’s currently available for Fallout 4, with more content coming soon throughout the upcoming months.

Bethesda rolls out paid mods, receives massive backlash and cancels the program.

Then they spend two years honing their plans, polishing them to perfection, prepared to do it again in a way that no one can argue with.

...and then they come back with Horse Armor 2.0 :gumpyhead:

Fallout is 20 years old this year. That's some anniversary shit right there to put things neatly into perspective.

The worst part of it all is making people purchase fake currency just to buy shit.
And then all the unspent credits are free cash for Bethesda for doing nothing.
Same deal with EA back then forcing people to buy Bioware points for DLCs only to have the denominations so big that you'd have leftover after purchasing their DLC.
