Anyway the game probably will be a mobile shit with microtransactions. Or with shitty scenario a-la Overlord 2. Rhianna Pratchett cannot into writing, sadly.

Meh. 1 was fun. 2 I just couldn't get into. I'm sure this will be uninteresting. As a one-of it's fine but not something that translates well into a series.

It is inevitable that she will write Discworld novels eventually. But for now she's busy wrecking the IPs that Eidos owns (she was in charge of the writing in Thi4f).

From what I hear, there was a Discworld novel somewhere 'in progress' by the time PTerry died.

Checking on Wikipedia (grain of salt inserted here) the novel was finished, and will be published posthumously later this year.

So sadly, no 'measuring stone' for Rhianna to show us if she's up to snuff.

The pikminite mechanics of the game are just plain bad in the first place. It's a gameplay experiment that should never have been freed from the lab in which it was created, let alone stretched to several big-bidget titles.

Played the second game, and it's sort of fun in a mindless way. Pillaging villages and killing bloody peasants left and right was amusing enough, but there was an awful lot of walking around and farming minion souls if you fucked up. But writing? Nah, I found no trace of that.
