Completely forgot that there is a translation of Seiken Densetsu 3 (third "Secret Of..." game) that I had a blast playing (in fact, the only "Secret Of" game I actually played for more than 5 minutes).

I'm interested in doing a Let's Play. What I don't know is if it is recommended to do a Let's Play of a game I've never played before, but I would like to do one about one of these SNES games. Any suggestion as to which of all these SNES JRPGs I should tackle, for your amusement?

Yeah, i find Seiken Densetsu 3 to be much better than Secret of Mana. Still waiting for Nintendo to localize it (same for Mother 3), but until then the translation patch will do.

Dat combat and spell animations though. Ugh. It would surpass SoM in my book if not for those fucking spell animations, and many combat encounters are built around the idea you will have at least one character spamming spells, which means your melee fighters are stuck waiting for the animation to finish bef- oh, god damnit! Again?! Bosses cast spells, enemies will cast spells, and your party mage(s) will cast them, and they'll cast them all the time. And if that weren't enough, sometimes your characters will just get stuck in a knock-back/down combo until they're dead.

The sprite work is fucking amazing though.

Don't remember having many issues with the combat, found it to be a smooth ride for the most part. Maybe i need to play it because it's been a couple of years since i did it.
