Where to get it? ausgamedev.com hasn't ever worked for me. All the shitty download portals only offer an ausgamedev link for the price of 2-3 ad-filled pages. Not a trace on torrent trackers.

He originally said when leaving that he's be willing to sell it to people who contact him, but he's not really easy to contact.

I don't know why he didn't just put it up for free, or leave it up. Eh.

I bought the game a year or so ago, I had tried to contact him about getting the latest download when he announced he was discontinuing it, unfortunately he never responded.

The link to the patch isn't working. I bought the game a while ago, and played it some, but got scared, and took a break, but never downloaded the newest patch.

Anybody have it?

Thank you!

I see the problem. I turned off Getright and it went to a could not retrieve webpage, but when I turned on Getright web browser monitoring it downloaded it with no problems. Sorry about that guys. You'll need to install getright. I don't know what rapidshare is but I will check it out.

The website is down, you can't get it from there.
GetRight probably used that FileMirrors service to get it from somewhere else, tho judging by the name, it could have been any older version.

Okay, problem solved I've uploaded my patch with rapidshare. I've never used this site but it seems ok and pretty simple. Anyways I can't believe they took off the download. When I downloaded the patch it was like a month after the website went down and I was only able to get it with getright.

Anyways here is the rapidshare file. http://rapidshare.com/files/80099190/Om ... h.exe.html

This one works guarenteed or your money back ;)

I went to the website that sells the game and lo and behold it is still there.

Remember to first load the game, then register it with the registration key they sent you, then apply the patch. If you apply the patch after loading the game, the key won't work. Anyways happy holidays and have fun gunnen down those damn worm thingies :)

Edit: Thanks guys for letting me know about rapidshare. That was pretty easy and quick.

I just tried to download the patch with the url I sent you and everytime it says that I have entered too many codes. I didn't enter any codes I just clicked the download button when it appeared. If you're a premium member then I don't think you will have this problem. If you still can't get it to download then screw these webpages just send a PM and I'll get it right to ya :D

Yes, but not transferable IIRC, so unless you want to come over my house to play you're SOOL.

I bought the game nearly two years ago. I played it some but had deleted it as if I wanted to play it, I'd just download it - well the downloads are gone now :) I had my key to update to full version, just the links in the email were dead.

Anyway, I have got a download now so no need to upload it for me now. I appreciate the offer though.

No problem. Let me know if you have any problems. I never finished the game myself, it joined that long list of games I got distracted from and never finished including: StarCraft, HomeWorld, U5 Lazarus, Arx Fatalis, UU1, Farenheight, Broken Sword 3, Medieval Total War, Lands of Lore, Dungeon Master 2, Bloodlines, Far Cry, Angband :P, Quake 4, Doom 3, and many others I can't even recall.

Fahrenheit is one game that you might be better off only playing the first half of.

A few of the others on that list are well worth your time though. Better get started. Work and family can wait. ;)

I didn't like Bloodlnes at all, yet I agree. And even should you hate it, at least the Mansion is fun.

[No Cradle though]

I played bloodlines until i got to some place with lots of (seemingly) spawning enemies, and I'm completely lost and can't find my way out before dying. Previous save was a fair ways back... this is what stopped me in my tracks with this game.

Oh, and you'll never believe which game I forgot from that list!

PST, played it once and stopped at end of Curst? Or something like that. I know I had a melee based PC and the next bit of the game seemed to be lots of combat that was too hard (or tedious) for me to bother with. Must have been 3-4 years ago now, and may have corresponded with a period of life where work and family was stopping my game playing. I do intend to start again from scratch when I get in the mood and have enough time and energy to appreciate it.

So then, Fez, can you tell my work and family that they can wait please? And the house decorating & DIY (just had a loft conversion done before xmas) that needs doing, can you take care of that too? :D

No problem. Let me know what time is good for you and I'll break the news to them. Nothing should be allowed to come between you and these delights.
