There were some rumblings that Avellone is the creative lead on a new IP.
It might be coming to a Wii U near you.

Both games where or they weren't on lead positions (Eric on both games) or it was someone else IP and they couldn't change them much even if they wanted. (Sawyer on NV, not that Bethesda did something amazing with Fallout 3 gameplay.)
