The Tyranny team must be working on something new, and Pathfinder would be a natural fit. It's not a setting I would prefer, but I guess more games made in the PoE engine = more stable and fully-featured engine.

Probably DLC/Expansion or sequel.

Codex 2016 - The Age of Grimoire Make the Codex Great Again! Grab the Codex by the pussy Codex Year of the Donut Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
I don't think Tyranny was a one thing, seems like a waste. I think they are working on a sequel or expansion.

Well I know what I said in the survey, hope they do surveys for a reason.

If people really wants a TB game from Obs, maybe wait for Sawyer's FYSMD or tell paradox to turn Tyranny into TB. Adding another IP to this ongoing HF trend of Obs doesn't sound good at all, especially when there is no budget or publisher for it.

Sawyer's game isn't happening anytime soon, he will be busy with PoE2 for a year at least.
Paradox might not want to publish an another Tyranny game (right now or never). Not sure what kinda expectations they had for the game and how much it cost to make and market, but it is still sitting below 150k sold units on SteamSpy which might not be enough for Paradox.
They might have a publisher for such game, or they might self publish it with Paizo's help. It's too soon to tell for sure either way.

Now that you are remembering stuff from MotB can you remember whose bright idea was to implement that stupidity called "Inkeeper kicks out permanently Epic level characters from the Inn if they piss him off" . Unless that Innkeeper is a God, I don't see how anyone could have considered that a good and logical idea.

I don't recall any details about that design decision. It's my responsibility because I was the lead designer.

I do recall that, philosophically, I punted on the goal of trying to make Epic-level D&D believable. I felt it would be too crippling and constant of a design constraint to deal with properly and so I didn't make it a priority (not that we didn't try at all, just that it wasn't something I wanted the team to focus on). At least some designers on the team did not share my acceptance that Epic levels become absurd; they focused on greater believability than I requested of them. So you can thank them for the places where we delivered on that wish. =)

Some of Tyranny staff are working on PoE2 and I imagine Cain&Boyarsky team ate up the rest.

If there's a publisher who is used to dealing with games that don't sell huge numbers at first, it's Paradox.

True and like I said on the Tyranny thread. If the budget for Tyranny is close to Pillars 1 budget, ~150k units sold makes it almost profitable for Paradox.

We don't know of Matt McLean and Robert Land's current occupations, right? They might still be narrative designers for Tyranny.

Matt's LinkedIn has him working as a Designer on an unannounced project. Other than that his last update was Pillars 1.

I'm now very curious if Project Indiana is being financed by a publisher.
If it's really gonna be a multi-platform rpg with first/third person view it's probably gonna cost a lot more than PoE, so I think they'll try to work with a publisher for that.

Mississippi could be that Pathfinder game they made a survey for.
Could be, but I sure as hell hope it's something else. Obsidian's only making fantasy games as of late, I'd like to see something different from them, be it sci-fi, cyberpunk, steampunk, real world modern setting or whatever.
