So Codex brethren recommend me some sweet Non-turn based isometric RPGs?

    Requirements :

    • Better graphics then the original X-COM game.
    • Non Turn based
    • Isometric (Dont REALLY have to be)
    • Should be realtime with pause
    • Being able to see the equipment of my characters, I get a new axe or armor, I wanna see the difference.
So brethren, tell me what the fuck I should play!

You asking for real-time games better be because you've played all the turn-based ones to death already. :rpgcodex:

What was that viking game called? Konig or something? The one where you could be a viking, a Slav or a Byzantine? That was weird as hell but it fits the criteria.

My personal favorite: NWN: Hordes of the Underdark.

The obvious Codex choice: NWN2: Mask of the Betrayer.

I've got a question. Does real time with pause fit your criteria or do you want games like Diablo?

Along with the already mentioned Arcanum, Neverwinter Nights series and Baldur's Gate series, my first thoughts are Icewind Dale series, DA: O, PS: Torment, The Witcher, Drakensang: TRoT and Darklands.

All these are at least decent games. You've got to check some reviews for more info, although the best review is to try them yourself for more than an hour.

It seemed pretty bad but I didn't play it that long. The movement and combat were very choppy, the dialogue was terse and awkward, it was kind of difficult to get into. It seemed like a cool premise executed poorly. Maybe the second one is better.

I didn't know there was a third one, but the two I saw were in English.

Not quite an RPG, but you could give Sacrifice a shot.

Graphics are shinier than xcom. It's isometric. It's realtime You can see your loot. All criteria in OP are met.

As an added bonus, it's dumbed down so newfag shitposters like you don't get scared off before you've spent yor money on the in-game auction house.

Now fuck off and stop calling us brethren. You are no BRO of mine.
