Classic adventure game introductions are underrated in threads like these, I think.

Good point!

Legend of Kyrandia intro blew my mind as a kid. That part where the grandfather is writing, and the "camera" focuses on first his hand, then his face, then the background was something I had never seen in a game before. The music was also amazing!

Westwood stuff
Westwood were the masters, indeed!

I never had an Amiga, so played EoB on DOS, and even with Adlib music, that intro was something else.

I never played Lands of Lore back in the day, played it for the first time a couple years ago and was extremely impressed with the intro. Westwood artists were kings of detail. If they have a character talking, they didn't stop at just animating his lips moving, they would animate his whole head. Even the UI in Lands of Lore is gorgeous, the way the compass springs into position as you turn.

Whatever my feelings on the actual game I'll set aside, for this thread is about game intros, and that is a damn cool intro.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.

Simple, but it sets you in a proper mood for killing in the name of the Emperor.

Thanks to Fritz, this intro is so great.

I remember running LOD for the first time and watching this intro. Great music, direction, and voice acting.

This intro was EXTREMELY 90s TV show sci-fi:

"Border Worlds Forces, we appreciate your withdrawal AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA". I remember finding that pretty disturbing.
